INTRODUCTION
A seminar is a form of academic instruction, either at an academic institution or offered by a
commercial or professional organization. It has the function of bringing together small groups for
recurring meetings, focusing each time on some particular subject, in which everyone present is
requested to participate.
DEFINITION
Seminar is an instructional technique of higher learning which involves paper reading on a theme
and followed by the group discussion to clarify the complex aspects of the theme.

others their own experiences, experiment, discoveries.

PURPOSES:
The main objectives of the seminar are:
To share and explore ideas on inclusion, teacher education/continued professional
development of teachers and educators languages
To foster new partnerships among the participants
To develop concrete project ideas and proposals
To develop first steps of an application.
Types of Seminars
General Seminars:
This training is conducted at different locations across India in the A & B class cities for
3 days. About 5 subjects are covered under Management & Leadership.
Topical Seminar:
This training is based on a single topic with workshops, real case studies, group
discussions and presentation by groups, finally recommending solutions. This is held
only at a few cities in India.
Partnership Seminar:
CIM offers, on request, specifically designed modules for individual organisations or
churches. It can be held anywhere in India according to the organisation’s preference.
These in-house seminars have trained major missions and church denominations.
Grass-root Seminar:
The training is on the basic concepts of management and leadership which significantly
enhance the effectiveness of the grass-root level leaders: evangelists/ pastors/
development workers. These programs run for 2 days, in bilingual (English & local
vernacular language / dialect), with affordable cost to benefit the small churches,
missions and NGOs.
Overview seminar:
Our overview seminars give you an outline of the most important measuring methods,
applications and measuring instruments for surface tension, contact angle and foam analysis.
Methodology seminar:
In our methodology seminars, you will be able to deepen your knowledge in the areas of surface
tension, contact angle measurement and foam analysis on one day each. You will attend to
illustrative talks covering theory and applications and become familiar with the most important
analysis methods in practical sessions. It is possible to combine the various methodology
seminars.
Practical seminar:
Our practical seminars put professionally supported measuring exercises in center of an intensive
two-day training course covering the areas of surface tension, contact angle measurement and
foam analysis. acquire theoretical basics of interfacial chemistry, familiarize yourself with new
measuring methods and gain new or advanced skills for carrying out precise analyses.
Focus seminar:
Our focus seminars concentrate on one important industrial application area of interfacial
chemistry in an intensive two-day course. Together with our seminar team, an internationally
recognized specialist carries out the respective seminar, covering scientific and measurement
technical aspects of the subject in depth.
Certificate Course:
As a user of our instruments with your practical applications, are the focus of our one-day
certificate courses. As well as an introduction to the basics of the measuring methods covered,
will learn how to make optimum use of your instrument for different applications. Will apply the
acquired knowledge in practical hands-on sessions and receive a certificate on completion of the
course.

it is organized by an association at national level.

Mini seminar:-
A seminar organized to discuss a topic in class is known as mini seminar.
Steps in a seminar
1. Establish a safe environment
2. Coach students on expectations
3. Choose a selection carefully assign it to the class
4. Read & study selection carefully making notes where necessary
5. Prepare the opening , core & closing questions
6. Prepare the room physically by arranging chair, desks in circles
7. Begin the seminar
8. Process & evaluate the seminar with the class after wards
9. Reflects personally on the experience, fine tuning for future use.

LIMITATION OF SEMINAR
Technique cannot be used in all levels of education
Seminar cannot be organized on all the content of subject matter.
Conclusion:
Seminar is a method of teaching mostly used for higher education. It is an instructional
technique which involves paper reading on a theme. It includes the group discussion to
clarify the complex aspect of theme. The students’ learns to develop the ability of keen
observation of experience and feelings of tolerance to the opposite ideas of others.
