View DMS Program

Provide Function Overview

The DEVELON Excavators / Wheel Loaders Monitoring Program (aka DMS) e-EPOS controller is
mounted on excavator or VCU controller mounted on the wheel loader, and the engine controller
provides the following function using the communication between the (ECU) and an IBM, -In
function is a function to function as an engine for the device to distinguish and, Each feature is
configured to automatically screen depending on the connected model.
The main functions can be selected with the Top navigator and Left navigator. The selected
function is displayed on the main display screen, You can check the current status in the state bar.

General function

Function Description
Report You can report key information, such as the main
sensor data and uptime information of the machine.
Please refer to the report function.
Export You can save the data identified in each function.
Please refer to the Export function.
Select Machine You can choose to connect to the machine or engine
model. Communication preferences are set
automatically. Please refer to the Select Machine
function.
Property You can set the language of the application or output
units. Please refer to the Property function.
Start You can begin to communicate with the machine. Start
the communication about the features that are
currently running on the main screen.
Stop You can stop the communication with the machine.
Stop the communication of the features that are
currently running on the main screen.
Refresh Refresh the current running function for the main
screen.
Close Quit the program.

Tool

Function Description
Load Graph Log You can play the graph data storage.
File Please refer to the Load Graph Log File function.
Manual View You can view the program help.

CAN Bus You can monitor the communication data of the CAN
Monitoring bus in the machine.
Please refer to the CAN Bus Monitoring function.
TMS Terminal You can check the status of the TMS Terminal.
Status Please refer to the TMS Terminal Status function.
Set ThumbWheel You can use the ThumbWheel Joystick sensitivity
adjustment function. Please refer to the ThumbWheel
Joystick Adjustable sensitivity.

Smart Key You can use the Smart Key controller firmware update
function.
SMK Cluster You can use the Cluster firmware update function of
SMK equipment type.
Machine Function

Function Description
Machine Info You can see the basic information, such as machine
model, serial number and version of the program of
the machine.
Monitoring It shows real-time information of the key sensors of the
machine to List or Gauge Panel form.
Graph You can see the real-time information on the important
sensor of the machine in graphic form.
Force Operation The output of the machine controller can be artificially
simulated by driving force, build a variety.
Parameter You can view or modify the machine control
parameters.
Please refer to the Parameter function.
Fuel Consumption You can check or reset the fuel used information from
the machine.
Operation Hours You can check or reset the period-specific information
in the machine uptime.
Daily Oper. Info You can check or reset the daily operating information
of the machine.
Filter/Oil Info You can check the filter / oil change intervals and the
operating time of the machine and modifiy or reset the
data.
Fault Info You can check or reset the current faults and past faults
history of the machine.
Backup/Restore You can back up or restore the information stored in
the machine controller.
Software Update You can change the firmware of the machine controller
to the desired version.
Engine Function

Function Descriptiom
ECU Information The basic information such as the model name, serial
number and version of the program of the engine.
Monitoring It shows the important sensor and services data of the
engine to List or graph form. You can store data over a
snap shot function.
Snap Shot You can play the data through a snap shot function.

Fault Code You can check or reset the current faults and past faults
of the engine.
RunUp Test It is possible to test the performance of individual
cylinders of the engine.
ShutOff Test It can be a shutoff test by switching off the injection of
the selected cylinder engine.
Input/Output It is possible to test the actuator status by controlling
Control the engine actuator.
EOL You can modify the PRV Valve and Ash and DPF.

Reprogramming Firmware of the engine controller can be changed to


any version.
The Basics

Program Setup

You have to run SETUP.EXE program to automatically install the DMS. Please contact the program
manager if monitoring and screen of the graph outputs does not appear normally when you run
the program after installation is complete.

Program installation recommended

To run the DMS program at a built-in over Windows XP OS IBM PC-compatible computer is
required.

 More than Memory 2G


 PC operating system, and then you have a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port:
◼ Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP Home or
Professional(Service Pack 3)
◼ more than Microsoft DotNet Framework 4.0

Note: You must use a separate Adapter certified and provided by the company.

Communication Connection

Separate communications cables is required in order to perform communication with an external


PC and the machine. Communication cables must be connected to a COM port or a separate Kit
Adpater of the PC and the inspection connector mounted on the machine.
Note) When removal of the communication cable is performed in the state, please disconnect the
power source of the excavator.

Communication Cable

Equipment can be connected by 3Pin, 14Pin cable for diagnostic port and USB type RS232 cable
can be connected to the PC. Also, it can be configured as a separate UVIM Adapter to connect to
the engine controller.

3 Pin Cable. 3 Pin cable diagnostics port, you can connect using the Equipment consists of 3 Pin.
14 Pin Cable. 14 Pin cable diagnostics port, you can connect using the Equipment consists of 14
Pin.

UVIM Apdater. Using UVIM Adpater connections at the same time to the equipment and the
engine controller, you can check the machine or engine information. If you use the UVIM Adapter,
you can connect the PC via USB.

RS232 Cable. You can use RS232 Cable to connect RS232 port of the PC. RS232 to USB cable is
required depending on the status of the PC.
Communication Environment Setting

Select a model of machine or engine during the start of the program to communicate with the
machine and engine. If you select the desired communication Port, it will set up communication
preferences automatically. If you click the Apply button, it starts the communication with the
machine.

Note: Solar, DL Model is Baudrate 9600, DX Model is 57600, and others have excluded the engine
and set to 115200 by default.

Communication state check. If the right side of the State Bar LED turns on during transmission
/reception, you can check the communication status.
Program Environment Setting

You can set the default language and units of the program. If the language is changed, you shall
restart the program to apply the changes.

Open the program setting items. Click Home> Settings item( ) in the Navigator at the top of the
screen.

The type of configuration data


 Setting Language (Korean, English, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch)
 Skin Settings for a Program : Dark, Mac, Windows 7, Caramel, Whiteprint, Metropolis Dark,
Metropolis
 Unit setting
◼ Pressure, Temperature, Volume, Fuel consumption, Speed, Flow rate

Setting Language. If you move to Home> Settings and restart after you choose the language of
the program, it will be applied to the program.

Skin Settings for a Program. If you move to Home> Settings and choose the desired skin of skin
setting item, it will be applied to the program.
Unit Setting. If you move to Home> Settings and choose the desired unit of unit setting item, it
will be applied to the program.

Report

You can gather the main data of the machine and save the form as a report. You can share it via
E-mail or any other sharing programs, depending on your PC environment.

Open Report Item. Click Home> Report item ( ) in the Navigator at the top of the screen.

Export

You can save a file type that is currently done by collecting data. You can share it via E-mail or any
other sharing programs, depending on your PC environment.

Open Export items. Click Home > Export item ( ) in the Navigator at the top of the screen.
Start

Login

Login of the machine is divided into AD authentication system and Registry Key registration
method based on installing H/W of the HD HYUNDAI INFRACORE Group. Registry Key registration

is available receiving generated Key based on the information of the installing H / W.

Function Start, Stop, Refresh, Exit

By default if you perform the functions of the program, communication is started via the start
button. If you stop the functions of the program, click the stop button. Stop automatically runs
when you switch on each screen.

Start Communication. In the Navigator, click the Start button at the top of the screen. When you
click the Start button, stop button is activated and the Start button is deactivated.

Stop Communication. Click the Stop button in the Navigator at the top of the screen. If you click
the Stop button, the start button is activated and the Stop button is deactivated.

Refresh. Click the Refresh button in the Navigator at the top of the screen. Refresh is used for

one-time request and it is deactivated in the periodic transmission function.

Check the basic information of the machine

If the program communicates with equipment normally, the program will display the basic
information of the equipment in the Main Screen. The machine information can be checked
through the mechanical information function.
Open the machine infomation. Click Machine Information > Machine Information topic ( ) in
the Navigator at the top of the screen.

The type of data provided


 Machine Information : You can check the model name, serial number, program version etc.
 Serial Number : You can view and modify the unique serial number that identifies your
machine.
◼ Input the serial number and click the change button.

 Machine Condition : You can check the total running time of the machine and the number
of current failures.
Machinery Diagnostics

Monitoring

You can read various data associated with the machine in real time. The data show a List form, by
default, you can choose an item to select the data you want to see. After selecting the desired
data, you can perform the communication with the device via the Start / Stop button in the Top
Navigator.
You can see the data types in List, Graph, Gauge Control.

The type of data provided


 Sensor data : Data of the frequency and analog sensors
◼ Engine speed (rpm), Battery voltage (V), FRONT PUMP Pressure / REAR PUMP etc.
 Digital input / output state : Data of ON / OFF type sensors, such as various switches, the
control state
◼ Start Switch, Alternator, etc.

Open machinery monitoring. Click Machine information > Monitoring item ( ) in the Navigator
at the top of the screen or the left.
Open Graph View. Click Machine information > Graph item () in the Navigator at the top of the
screen or the left. Or click the graph view in the Main Screen.

Select Monitoring Group. You can select the items you want to monitor to switch to List View
screen. When you select the desired data, the value of selected data is updated. This button is
activated only for view control fuction.

Communication period setting. It sets the period of the data received from the machine.
Transmission cycle can be set up to 10msec ~ 1000msec. However, this feature is not visible in
case of unsupported models.

Graph

You can check a variety of data relating to the machine in real time. The data shows the Graph
type by default and you can select the data you want to see in the data selection (monitor screen).
After selecting the desired data, you can perform the communication with the device via the Start
/ Stop button in the Top Navigator.

The type of data provided


 Sensor Data : Data of the frequency and analog sensors

Note: If you collect data for a long time, it is stored in a file via the Export function. It is effective
analysis functions by opening the graphical log file (play).

Open View Machines graph. Click Machine information > Graph item( ) in the Navigator at the
top of the screen or the left. Or Click Machine information > graph view button in monitoring
item.

Select Monitoring Group. If you click the Data Select button, it will be switched to monitoring
data List selection Page. If you select the desired data and press the Graph View icon, it will be
switched to graph view screen.

View individual graph. You can view the data that is being monitored as a separate graph. The
function is activated when the check is marked and it is deactivated when the check is not marked.

Logging File Save. Save a file for the data being monitored. If the left Navigator > Click the
Export item, function is activated. When the user activates the fuction, the pop-up for saving a file
is printed. You can save the file to the desired name in the desired position. The files are saved as
* .csv form. Data can be played with graph functions at the top of the Navigator ETC Tool > Open
the log file. You can also edit the desired shape through the editable program for saved files. (Ex:
Micosoft Excel)
Communication period setting. It sets the period of the data received from the machine.
Transmission cycle can be set up to 10msec ~ 1000msec. However, this feature is not visible in
case of unsupported models.

View selected Y-axis data. The check items is for viewing the Y-axis value of the data. When you
select the Check Box of the data that you want to see, Y-axis values of the graph is added. In
addition, the thickness of the graph thickens so it makes easier to distinguish between the
selected data.

Key+Mouse Functions. When you click this item, you can see a description of the functions that
can be performed by combining the operations of the Key and Mouse, such as zoom in / out /
move the graph pop-up Screen.

Providing a key operation type

Check the values in the graph. (Action: Mouse Over) If the Mouse is over a graph screen, graph
data values for the time when the Mouse cursor is located are displayed on the screen.

Fault Code Information View

You can read about current / past information relating to machine malfunction. (Fault Code, failure
information and actions to take (Manual) and time of occurrence of past failures)

 Fault : Up to 30 current fault information generated
◼ fault code, fault information, Manual
 Past failure : Up to 31 past fault information generated
◼ failure number by code, failure codes, failure information, fault occurrence time,
Manual

Open Fault Information. Click Machine information > Fault information items () in the Navigator
at the top of the screen or the left.

Delete past failure history. Clicking the past fault history Delete button, you can delete or
initialize the past failure information stored.

Warning: Deleting past failure history is available only to users with relevant authorization.
Corresponding function is not provided to users who do not have the right.

Force Operation

The function is to drive output of the machine controller by force. Situation difficult to implement
in actual equipment can be artificially achieved by using the function. Force Operation activates
selected item to drive by force. It is divided into two-step applying the actual value. If the driving
force function is deactivated, it can not be applied to the driving force value.

 Proportional pressure reducing valve control output (Pumps, fans, flow control): 0~1000mA
 Solenoid valve output: Step-up, high-speed driving, turning priority, reverse, post heating
Relay (ON/OFF output)
 Engine control output (Mechanical): Standard Mode, AUTO IDLE, OVERHEATING, WORK
MODE (W) Signal output

Note: The type of data provided may be different by each model.

Open ForceOperation entry. Click Machine information > ForceOperation entry in the Navigator
at the top of the screen or the left.

Select the ForceOperation entry. Select all items at the bottom or check the check box of each
item.

Unselect the ForceOperation entry. Unselect all items at the bottom or uncheck the check box
of each item.

ForceOperation value input. Specify the number in the value field of the application screen or
adjust the value of the control bar to the desired value.

ForceOperation apply. If you click the Apply button of each item, ForceOperation drives the
machine to the value entered in the applicable value.
Combining a pop-up screen to the Main screen. If you drag a pop-up screen with the mouse to
desired location, icon will be activated ( ) on the main screen. When you release the mouse in
the desired position, the pop-up screen will be joined to the Main screen.

Warning: ForceOperation has got the power to drive a mechanical force, so only users who have
associated privileges can use the function. The function is not provided to users who do not have
the right.

Warning: When you exit the ForceOperation test, home, machines information, Machine Tool >
Click the Stop button or click the Selected item(s) OFF button to stop Forceoperation. The
machine is working properly by stopping Forceoperation. Or after turn off and restart the
machine, perform the action.
Fuel Consumption View

You can check the fuel consumption using the machine in each mode provided by equipment.
You can reset the fuel consumption stored in the machine.

Open the Fuel Consumption view. Click Machine information > Fuel Consumption items () in the
Navigator at the top of the screen or the left.

Select initialization entry. Select all items at the bottom or check the check box of each item.

Unselect initialization entry. Unselect all items at the bottom or uncheck the check box of each
item.

Initialization selection. When you click the initialization button, usage information for the
selected item is initialized.

Warning: Fuel consumption initialization function is available only to users with relevant
authorization. Corresponding function is not provided to users who do not have the right.

Operation Hours View

You can check the operation hours information for the items specified in the mode or hydraulic
oil temperature, coolant temperature, etc. which is composed of group. You can optionally
initialize the operation hours specified in the mode except total operation hours.
Open the Operation hours view. Click Machine information > Operation hours view items () in
the Navigator at the top of the screen or the left.

Select initialization entry. Select all items at the bottom or check the check box of item. You can
check the information of the selected items in the list on the right.

Unselect initialization entry. Unselect all items at the bottom or uncheck the check box of item.
You can’t check the information of the unselected items in the list on the right.

Initialization selection. When you click the initialization button, usage information for the
selected item is initialized.

Warning: Operation hours initialization function is available only to users with relevant
authorization. Corresponding function is not provided to users who do not have the right.

View a group-specific data with Bar Char. (Action: Mouse Click) If you click the group name,
data values of the selected group will be displayed with Bar Chart on the screen at the bottom.

Filter/Oil Info

You can check the machine's filter / oil change intervals and hours of use. In case the Filter / Oil is
replaced, you can set a new replacement cycle or you can initialize the usage time.

Open Filter / Oil information items. Click Machine information > Filter / Oil information items ()
in the Navigator at the top of the screen or the left.

Select initialization entry. Select all items at the botton or check the check box of each item.

Unselect initialization entry. Unselect all items at the bottom or uncheck the check box of each
item.

Initialization selection. When you click the initialization button, the usage time information for
the selected item is initialized.

Replacement Cycle input. When you input the each Filter / Oil change interval in replacement
cycle column and click the write to controller the exchange hours, you can change the saved Filter
/ Oil change intervals stored in each machine.
Daily Operation Info View

You can find information in the daily operation of the machine. (operation hours, fuel
consumption, Error Code, Error Description, Error Count up to 180 days)

Open the Daily Operation Info. Click Machine information > Daily Operation Info view items () in
the Navigator at the top of the screen or the left.

Note: Error code indicates only one of the highest priority faults that occurred that day.
Parameter View

You can view or modify the parameters of your device.

Open the Parameter View. Click Machine information > Parameter view items () in the Navigator
at the top of the screen or the left.

The type of data provided.


 The main topics of the machine parameters (It varies by authority.)

Select initialization entry. Select all items at the bottom or check the check box of each item.
The details of the checked group are displayed on the right side of the screen.

Unselect initialization entry. Unselect all items at the bottom or uncheck the check box of item.
You can’t check the information of the unselected items in the list on the right.

Parameter backup. You can back up parameter values shown on the current screen as an Excel
file. When you click the button, pop-up which the user can save the file in will be activated.

Restoring from a file. You can restore parameters from the backed up parameter storage file that
you modified and saved or from previously saved files.
Note: Parameters can be restored to the Excel file written in specified form.

Warning: Parameter modification feature is only available to users gateun the relevant authority.
Users who do not have the right to provide its functionality.

Open the graphical log file (Play)

You can play the stored graphical log file. And you can analyze the data for the entire trend
analysis and the stored data of specific situation by the graph view.

Open graph of log file entries. Click ETC Tool > graph log file open items () in the Navigator at
the top of the Screen.

Check the values in the graph. (Action: Mouse Over) If you overrun Mouse on the graph screen,
the graph data value is displayed on the screen at the time the Mouse Cursor is located.
Backup/Restore

You can backup or restore all or part of the selected portion of the data stored on the device.
During restoration it compares equipment information to prevent restoring to other equipment
instead of the one that was backed up.

Open Backup / Restore items. Click Machine Tool > Backup / Restore item () in the Navigator at
the top of the screen.

Select Save File. Click the Open File button and select the file you want to save the data in

Backup. When save file is selected, the data that can be backed up will be displayed. After you
select the check box to select the desired data and click the Backup button, the data is backed up
to the designated file. Progress can be checked with the Progress Bar at the bottom.

Select Restore files. Click the Open File button and select the file you want to restore.

Restoration. After the restore file is selected, data that can be restored is displayed. After you
select the check box to select the desired data and click the Restore button, the data is restored
from designated file. Progress can be checked with the Progress Bar at the bottom.

Warning: Backup / Restore function is available only to relevant gateun user rights. Users who do
not have the right to provide its functionality. If you want to randomly perform backup / restore
using the equipment may be limited.
ThumbWheel Joystick Adjustable sensitivity

In case of controller version providing ThumbWheel Joystick sensitivity control function, the
ThumbWheel Joystick sensitivity can be set by selecting from 11 steps for each Joystick and
direction. In addition, you can adjust the minimum operating speed in %.
Finally, you can adjust the reaction time of the Joytick in the range 0 ~ 10sec. The above
functions can all revert to the default if you want.
Note: This feature will be available depending on the version of EPOS. (Ex: More than DX-3
Version 1.2, More than DX-5 Version 1.1)

Open ThumbWheel Joystick sensitivity adjustment items. Click ETC Tool > Set Thumb wheel
item () in the Navigator at the top of the screen.

Select the joystick. You can select direction of joystick to the left or right.

Initial Speed(%). You can select the minimum operating speed of the selected joystick lever
within the range of 0 to 100%. If the value is selected, you can see the values that are changed
via the Graph on the left side of the screen.

Sensitivity. You can select the sensitivity of the selected joystick lever within the range of 0 to 10.
If the value is selected, you can see the values that are changed via the Graph on the left side of
the screen.

Up Time Delay (sec). Ramp delay for rising within 0 ~ 10 (sec) range can be set in 0.01 unit. If
the value is selected, you can see the values that are changed via the Graph on the left side of
the screen.

Down Time Delay (sec). Ramp delay for falling within the 0 ~ 10 (sec) range can be set in 0.01
unit. If the value is selected, you can see the values that are changed via the Graph on the left
side of the screen.

Initialization. Revert to factory default settings.

Write for Test. It can be tested by applying the selected value as a temporary.

Save. It can be applied by applying the selected value of the equipment until the change.
EPOS Update(for controller)

You can install the Firmware of the device controller to the desired version. You should use the
files provided by the official route as a *.rom or *.hex form for Firmware files.

Open Software Updates. Click Home in the Navigator at the top of the screen > Connect
Machine > Software Update > Start.
Select Communication Port. Select Communication Port to communicate on COM Port in combo
box. If you are using UVIM adapter, the COM Port will be displayed in green.

Reprogram. Clicking Select File button, a dialog box where you can select the desired Firmware
file is output. When you select the files you want, the program will run. You can check the overall
progress through the State Display and Progress bar.

CAN Bus Monitoring(connected with UVIM adapter)

When you perform communication through machine controller and UVIM Adapter, you can
monitor CAN Bus signal of the equipment. If it is connected via the CAN device controller and
UVIM Adpater, you can use the function.

CAN Bus Monitoring Open Items. Click ETC Tool > CAN Bus Monitoring item () in the Navigator
at the top of the Screen.

Transmit Message. You can send your ID and Data via the CAN Bus. If you input the ID and Data
and click the Send button, the data will be sent to the CAN Bus.

Data Logging. If you check the File Logging, you can save the data of CAN Bus to a file.
TMS Terminal Status

You can monitor the status of TMS Terminal attached to the device.

Opening the TMS Terminal Status Item. Click ETC Tool > TMS Terminal Status item () in the
Navigator at the top of the Screen.

Security release. You can turn off the machine Lock feature of the TMS Terminal.

Warning: Security release function is available only to users with relevant authorization.
Diagnosis of engine TIER3

Fault code

All messages remain in the ECU memory until it is deleted by the user of the NDMS.
'Current' error message can not be deleted.
‘Past’ error message can be deleted.

state.
 Export…: The user can save the desired file.
 Fault Code: The user can check the error code.
 Description: It provides detailed information about each error.

error and it recommends way for engine repair / check.
Fault code (Freeze Frame). Click Description to open the description window. You can view the
environmental conditions when the error occurred.
Data Monitoring

Data monitoring can determine the data values of the engine sensor and service. And you can
check the status of sensors and switches in the electrical components.

Data Group. Select the Download menu and you can select the service data. (All data, Start data,
injector data, voltage data, fuel pressure data....)

Graph. It shows the value of each service data selected in a graph.

 Color: It indicates the line color of the graph.


 Service Data: Data indicates that the service name / parameter name displayed on the
graph.
 Variable : The current value displayed on the screen is Y Coordinate.
 Maximum : It displays the maximum value of the service.
 Minimum : It displays the minimum value of the service.
 Time : X Coordinate
 Scroll Bar : Activated to display the next frame.
 Stop Button : Temporarily stop the measurement on the graph.
 Exit : Close the Graph window.

Save. Service data name, parameter name and current value & unit are stored in file.

Snapshot. Snapshot is available to record and show the engine operation for a long time.

Run-up test

The run-up test is a test variation of the power performance of each cylinder.

Automatic. Start the engine to idle before pressing the start button. Choose Automatic from the
drop down menu. Press the Start button to start the test. Testing is carried out automatically six
times. After the sixth test, the test is automatically stopped.

Manual. Select Manual from the drop-down menu. Select the cylinder to be tested. Press the start
button to perform the selected test cylinders only.

Status Messages. It shows the testing process.

Measuring Results.
 Result : The time at which the engine has been accelerated is measured. If the shutoff of
the cylinder is significantly off, this cylinder or injection equipment may be assumed to
be faulty.
 Elapsed time : It displays the amount of time the idle RPM has reached from min to max.

Shut-off test

Shut-off test checks the status of each injector by blocking test.


Compression test

Start. Make sure the engine is not running, then place the key in the "On" position. Press the
Start button to start the engine cranking.

Stop. Click to stop the test.

Status Messages. It shows the test process. And it always follows the instructions in the message
window.

Cranking message. Start immediately to start cranking. Stop immediately to stop cranking.

Graph Description. It shows the percentage duration time of compression and expansion time for
each cylinder and longest measurement time.
The program selects the time axis of the compression part and the other expansion part.
Assuming the compression ratio of a cylinder, the compression time is shorter than other cylinders.
The measurement time is short for compression section and long for expansion time.
Remote Control

View the current value. It displays the current values of the parameters in the right side of the
screen.

Start Remote Control. Replace the output signal of the ECU sensors through your computer.

Stop Remote Control. Stop the engine remote control.


 Select and remove the test data in the engine test.

Important information: Please refer to the following information for remote control operation
method,
 'Input Variables' parameter is selected to send the input to the ECU.

 'When you select 'Input Variable' and click , it is sent to the right side of the screen.
 'Output Variables' is output parameters analyzed in ECU.

 'When you select 'output Variable' and click , it is sent to the right side of the screen.
 When you click on 'View Current Value', you can see the current value of the selected
parameter.
 Put the value of the apportioned value of the selected parameter in the 'Input' field.
 Press ‘Start Remote Control’ to see the results of the selected value.
 When you press ‘Stop Remote Control’, it shows the input value of the engine.
Register machine ID

The ECU can record the ID and the engine number of the equipment. After reprogramming the
ECU, engine number and the machine serial number is not saved. You must save the engine
number and the machine serial number.

“Select in communication”.
 View all : press the 'view all' button to see all the EOL data.
 .CUID_D_DSID_CUC : Record the serial number and engine surfaces.
 .CUID_D_VIN_CUC : Record the machine serial number.
 .CUID_D_VMS3_CUC : Record the machine model number.
 “Apply” : To apply the new values to the ECU.
 “Open selection” : Open the data items stored in the computer.
 “Save selection” : Save the selected data items.

Open. Open the value and specific service data previously stored.

Save. Save the specific data and value.

Change the Data. Check the EOL data values to modify. “√” appears on the entry of ‘SEL’. Insert
a new value in the 'Value' column and click "Apply". The new value is stored in the ECU. Click
"Disconnect ECU" for the input value to be valid and wait for a few minutes. The new value is
shown on the ECU information.

Warning: When you change the EOL data and reprogram the ECU at all times, the engine must
be stopped. (The key is 'On' status)
Software Updates (for ECU)

Choose File. Select the ECU map file in a notebook to reprogram or rework. File can be provided
from HD HYUNDAI INFRACORE.

Transferring files. Install the ECU map file. You can check the installation progress of program.

Completing the installation (100%). When "Communication end" is displayed, the installation is
completed.

Important information: After confirming the progress of the following conditions, proceed the
reprogramming.
 Check that the laptop battery is sufficient.
◼ If the proper transmission of the file fails, the ECU will be damaged or the engine
will no longer be running and then it will need to be replaced.
 After starting the NDMS again, you must re-enter the engine number of the ECU and
machine serial using EOL.
ECU Info

You can check the correct device to perform the test with the hardware, software & machine ID of
the ECU.

Fault code

Run Up Test
The run-up test is a test variation of the power performance of each cylinder.

Ex) The blue line in the figure shows all cylinder operations.
According to the order, cylinders 1 through 6 are stationary and the ECU estimates the A,B,C,D,E,F
points and displays the graph. If you compare the different lines, you can see that the combustion
of each cylinder is yellow. The cylinder is in bad shape if it is similar to the slope when there is no
tilt of the cylinder
Shut-Off Test
Shut-off test checks deviations of injector states.

 Test progress order:

Input/Output Test
This function is to control the actuators of the engine part and you can check the condition of the
actuator.

Status Box. The contents of the status box are the operational status of the check engine.

 MIN/MAX : Range

Results box. The contents of the box are the output results after the engine test.
Boost pressure actuator Test Procedure.
A. This test can tell the VGT normal operation.
B. Select the boost pressure actuator test.
C. Press the Start button.
D. Enter a value in the 'value' box.
E. Check the VGT shaft with the naked eye.
F. Click Return to ECU.

A. This test verifies the normal operation of the engine RPM.

A. This test verifies the normal operation of the engine lamp.

A. This test verifies the normal operation of the throttle valve.

Cylinder shut-off signal Test Procedure


A. This test is to verify the proper operation of the injector.
B. Enter a value in the 'value' box.
C. Press the Start button.
D. Check the engine lamp on the display panel.

EOL
You can change the value of each component.

Important information: If PRV values, Ash and DPF value must be changed, click the button
below. If the button is not clicked after the part has been changed, the ECU will continue to
calculate the limit of the part and there will be three part fault codes.

Software Updates (for ECU)


Choose File. Select the ECU map file in a notebook to reprogram or rework. File can be provided

Remote diagnosis adapter (UVIM-W)

Overview

Remote Diagnosis Adapter (uVIM-W) allows you to connect to the WIFI and diagnose the
equipment wirelessly. You can connect USB and diagnose it by wire in the same way as before.

It supports data recording which allows long-term (up to 80 hours) storage of in-vehicle data to
CAN or RS232 communications.

Components

UVIM-W Apdater. You can connect WIFI communication by USB Cable or using wireless AP. Five
LEDs display the current status at the front, allowing you to see the operational status. You can
use the system monitoring/data recording function by "Mode Transition Switch" at the top of the
Adapter.

Micro SD Card. In the Data Recording mode, the equipment data is recorded on the Micro SD
Card. It supports up to 16GB and can be stored up to 7 days, based on 8 hours of work per day.

Cable. Use a 14 pin cable and Mini USB type-B compatible with UVIM-W.

Connect the PC and UVIM-W using the Mini USB type-B. When you select the USB port to which
UVIM-W is connected, background color of the combobox changes from white to gray.

WIFI connection

About 30 seconds after UVIM-W is powered on, the WIFI module built into UVIM-W is activated.
This WIFI module can be monitored by multiple PC simultaneously.

At this point, If you click the wireless access icon on the taskbar, you can connect SSID(wireless
network identifier) that appears as "Omega-AXXX". Please contact the person in charge for
security keys for access.

Connection order.

1) Click the wireless access icon on the taskbar

2) Select "Omeage-AXXX" and click Connect (Entering a secure key is required.)

3) After running DMS-5, select "UVIM-W" from the combo box in the
"automatic discovery of equipment" window.
Data recording via UVIM-W

Sequence of recording item registration

1) After selecting the items to record from the monitoring or graph, press the "Start" button
to see if the data is received normally.

2) Click the "Stop" button and click it when the "Register Recoding Items" button is activated.

3) Turn the mode change switch to "B" and turn the key back on after turning the key off.
If the Recording LED on the Remote diagnosis adapter is illuminated, it means normal

recording.

Viewing recording data

1) VCU data : saved as *.CSV.
