1. पदबंध का अर्थ (Meaning):

पदबंध (Phrase) is a group of two or more words that together form a


meaningful unit but do not have a complete sense like a sentence.

2. प्रकार (Types of Padhband):

1. संज्ञा पदबंध (Noun Phrase):


A phrase that works as a noun.

Example: सुंदर घर (Beautiful house)

2. क्रिया पदबंध (Verb Phrase):


A phrase that works as a verb.

Example: पढ़ाई कर रहा है (Is studying)

3. विशेषण पदबंध (Adjective Phrase):


A phrase that describes a noun or pronoun.

Example: बहुत लंबा लड़का (Very tall boy)

4. क्रिया विशेषण पदबंध (Adverb Phrase):


A phrase that describes a verb, adjective, or another adverb.

Example: बहुत तेज दौड़ता है (Runs very fast)

5. संबंधबोधक पदबंध (Prepositional Phrase):


A phrase that begins with a preposition and shows the relationship between
words.

answers "क्या कर रहा है?" (What is being done?).

If the phrase answers when the action is done, it’s an adverb phrase.

3. कहाँ? (Where?)

If the phrase answers where the action is done, it’s an adverb phrase.

Example:

स्कू ल के पास रुका (Stopped near the school) → कहाँ रुका? (Where did he

4. कितना? (To what extent?)

If the phrase answers to what extent the action is done, it’s an adverb
phrase.

Example:

बहुत अच्छा गाता है (Sings very well) → कितना अच्छा? (How well?) →
