Condition Parameters and the corresponding meaning and/ or explanation

as guide for evaluation
62

Mark check (/) or cross (x) the corresponding box if the condition of the
parameter to be evaluated each section can be either of the following.

• (/) Is still in good condition means the condition of the particular section
being evaluated is within acceptable or manageable degree of compliance,
can still be retained or incorporated for its new purpose or very minimal to
minimal changes to do

• (/) With minimal damages; with minimal numbers; or with minimal

issues means that the condition of the particular section to be evaluated
highlights minimal concerns or problems that can be addressed or solved.
These concerns or problems can be in the form of damages, scratches,
broken surfaces and the like

• (/) Extremely damaged/ No Provisions means that the particular section or

item to be evaluated is severely experiencing massive damages or problems
that could cause multiple issues and concerns in the future if not being
addressed. In the case of E SECTION, this parameter is translated as No
Provisions which means the level of compliance of the structure do not
reflect such.

CONCLUSION

The above checklist or the rating system was mapped and carefully evaluated

one by one base from the conducted interviews with several practitioners who

are with expertise and excellent credentials in terms of conservation and

preservation of heritage sites and buildings in the Philippines. To add, the

researcher also other addressed the recommendation provided by the panel of

jurors to select various practitioners in the field of cultural preservation and to

compare whether the policies or processes being used by these heritage

practitioners can be used as basis or which particular area of these processes

can be adapted for the intentions of evaluating non- heritage buildings.
