B. LESSON PROPER
1. Activity
“Pass-the-Story Writing”
 On a provided sheet, the teacher narrates the story's first lines. In the same group,
each student adds a sentence, then passes it to the next student. This continues
until the story reaches a satisfying conclusion.
2. Analysis
The teacher will elicit responses from the students to these questions:
 How did your different writing styles affect the story’s tone?
 Why is it important to connect ideas smoothly when writing?

3. Abstraction
 Writing Process - It follows a systematic procedure because the process is as important as the
product.
WRITING PROCESS:
Prewriting
Drafting
Revising
Editing
Publishing
 PREWRITING - It involves the process of selecting a subject, exploring the topic, gathering
details, and organizing an outline.
ELEMENTS IN PREWRITING
Topic - It is the center of the piece because it is what you write about.
Author's Purpose - It is the author's goal in writing a literary work. It commonly revolves around
instructing, persuading, entertaining, and describing.
Audience - It influences the choice of topic, language, sentence length, punctuation, and allusion.
Special Consideration - It considers the readership, budget, deadlines, format, word count, purpose,
and staging constraint.
 DRAFTING - It is the phase of creating a first written version or draft. The writer connects the
ideas from the beginning, middle, and ending.
 REVISING - It is the essence of writing because it allows the writer to better satisfy his/her
purpose and audience. It undergoes a series of rewriting process with great emphasis on the
ideas, organization, and voice.
 EDITING - It involves fine-tuning the words, sentences, correctness, and design of the piece.
 PUBLISHING - It is the final stage of the process. It is the time when the work is brought to the
public through publication, either print or online.

4. Application
“Write and share”
 In groups, students will create a short story using teacher-provided words. The story
must be one paragraph with 6-8 sentences. Each group will then share their story with
the class.
