Post-Exam Supervision & Social Media Restriction Policy
To ensure students remain engaged in constructive activities and minimize distractions from
social media after exams, a mandatory two-hour supervision period will be implemented. This
policy aims to encourage reflection, revision, and relaxation in a school-controlled environment.
Policy Guidelines
Duration & Implementation:
• After the completion of an exam, all students will remain under school supervision for a
minimum of two hours before being allowed to leave or access social media.
• The restriction applies to all forms of social media including but not limited to Facebook,
Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and TikTok.
• Students are not allowed to bring their mobile devices during exams and can use school
services for urgent needs (e.g., for family emergencies).
Permitted Activities
During this post-exam period, students will be engaged in productive activities such as:
• Quiet individual study or review of exam-related materials.
• Reading books (provided by the school or brought by students).
• Engaging in supervised recreational activities (board games, art, sports, or discussions).
• Participating in structured reflection sessions guided by teachers.
Monitoring & Compliance
• Teachers and school staff will supervise students to ensure compliance with the policy.
• Students found attempting to use social media (e.g., through mobile data) will receive a
warning for the first violation and progressive disciplinary action for repeated offenses.
• Students who do not comply may have their mobile devices held by school authorities
until the supervision period ends.
Conclusion
This policy ensures that students remain in a disciplined environment after exams, reducing stress
and preventing distractions caused by social media. It fosters a culture of focus, self-reflection,
and academic growth.
