What is NEN? The nonprofit National Entrepreneurship Network was established in 2003 with a mission to create and support high-growth entrepreneurs, driving job-creation and economic growth. Today, NEN represents the largest, most vibrant community of Indias new and future entrepreneurs. The membership comprises more than 500 top-tier academic institutes across India, a motivated pool of over 1100 entrepreneurship faculty members, over 380 student Entrepreneurship Cells that count more than 70,000 members, and thousands of NEN Alumni, now coming together to launch NEN E-Clubs. Leveraging the resources and programs of the NEN Trust, these members - the NEN institutes, faculty, E Cells, and E Clubs each year run thousands of programs that create and support entrepreneurs.

NEN was initiated by the Wadhwani Foundation, and co-founded by IIT Bombay; IIM Ahmedabad; BITS, Pilani; SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai; and the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology, Bangalore.

The NEN Trust is primarily supported by the Wadhwani Foundation, a philanthropic initiative of Dr. Romesh Wadhwani, Chairman of the Symphony Technology Group. NEN is honoured to have launched a public-private partnership with the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India in 2009, with a specific focus on faculty development. NEN is also proud of its partnerships with Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women program and the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women to develop its Entrepreneur Mentor programs.

Current Status NEN seeks a full-time Asst. Manager Education to support the education team.

Context

NEN has emerged as a leader in entrepreneurship education in India. It has critical mass in its institutional base and is realizing impact from building capacity in entrepreneurship education effectively to educate potential future entrepreneurs and to help support new entrepreneurs.

NEN Education works to build capacity of the NEN Partner Institutes through training of faculty mentors and student E Leaders who run entrepreneurship clubs on campuses.

NEN Education team works with faculty members from some of the top institutes around the world including Stanford, Babson, London Business School, University of California, IIM A, SPJMR, IIM B and others to help NEN Faculty mentors access the best practices and thinking in entrepreneurship. This includes development and delivery of a range of world class faculty development programs to help faculty both develop future entrepreneurs and support new entrepreneurs.

Title Based in

Asst. Manager Bangalore, full-time. Responsible for the development & management of NEN Education as a critical support to NEN Institutional Partners This includes at the overall level Working with NEN Consulting team; and NEN Education Partners to assist in developing the new faculty development course in Entrepreneurship Program Development as per the defined goals. Managing the smooth running of other educational programs for faculty and students Managing & strengthening the community of faculty members in the network.

Specific responsibilities of the Asst. Manager, NEN Education include the following: a. Implementation of new faculty development course: o Develop an effective system to match faculty readiness with the right kind of faculty education that NEN provides o b. Market the new program to NEN faculty.

Role

Ensure smooth running of existing faculty development course, which includes: 1. Managing the invitation process for all workshops and events: email and hard copy invites 2. Production of Course material and arranging materials according to different workshops 3. Refining content based on participant feedback; 4. Handling the overall logistics of workshops efficiently and ensuring smooth delivery

of the workshop 5. Recruiting and managing logistics of teaching faculty; and 6. Certifying qualified participants. c. d. Tracking and analyzing various data and generating reports on regular basis Constantly think of and implement new ways to build the nationwide community of NEN entrepreneurship faculty. Assist in developing annual plans, targets and budgets for the workshops and event activities. Successfully managed complex customer relationships Able to work with equal ease with individuals at different levels of an organization example - Directors or Deans of academic institutions, Faculty members and Student committee heads. Skills Required
