Pyro (Kiln) section
Individual drives & circuit has been inspected (on 14.04.2015) during which some
observation has been made which are as follows.
Kiln feed bin filling group.
Kiln feed bin filling elevator coupling guard is not installed.
Coupling guard of kiln feed bin filling air slide blowers is needed to be provided.
Man hole in kiln feed bin is not been installed. Which has to be installed at close to
bottom side for making feed bin empty & recalibration during kiln shutdown.
Kiln feed bin de dusting bag filter venting line work is in progress.
Preheater fan group.
Bracing removal work is in progress in preheater downcomer duct. Also 3 to 5
openings are still present in downcomer duct.
Preheater fan inlet damper is not operative in reverse side. (once open can’t be
closed)
Preheater bypass damper trail is pending. Also approach & inspection window has to
be made for calibration & inspection.
Preheater boiler inlet & outlet damper work is in progress which is in scope of GPP.
Kiln auxiliary fan group.
Online changeover of kiln inlet seal air blower will not be possible. As pneumatic gate
is not been provided in its discharge line.
Kiln inlet seal air fan discharge line expansion joint cloth has been sheared & its joint
is not o.k. having huge gap.
Calciner burner cooling blower discharge not connected to calciner burner, work is in
progress.
TAD hoisting damper cooling blower discharge line work is not completed.
Kiln tyre cooling fan group.
Ladder provided to approach the tyre cooling fan platform is not correct needed to be
relocated. Because as per present condition during fan running it will not be safe to
approach platform.
Preheater gas analyser group.
All gas analyser’s installed in pyro section is needed to be calibrated with zero gas in
presence of process engineers.
Kiln diesel firing group.
Kiln diesel firing system is completed up to diesel firing pump to firing system. Diesel
discharge & return line work is pending.
Kiln primary air fan group.
Online changeover of kiln swirl air blower will not be possible. As pneumatic gates
not been provided in its discharge line.
SRCP Operation 15.04.2015
Swirl, jet & transport airline work is pending from mechanical side.
Once the swirl, jet & transport line work is complete instrument department will
provide its pressure signal line.
Installation of kiln camera work is pending as mechanical has to box-up the kiln hood
doors.
K – Turbo blower room is still incomplete. (door’s, window, inlet line filter & A.C. is yet
to be installed.)
K- Turbo blower discharge line work is still pending.
Cooler E.S.P. FAN GROUP.
Booster fan inlet, outlet damper& ducting work is pending.
Approach & working platform is needed to be made for E.S.P. outlet pressure & temp
tapping point.
Cooler E.S.P. transport.
Discharge chute of cooler E.S.P. rotary air lock is needed to be made. As per present
condition the chute is not connected to D.B.C. because it just above the clinker dump
hopper.
Working & inspection platform is needed to be installed for cooler E.S.P. hoppers.
Coupling guards needed to be provided in all cooler E.S.P. rotary air locks.
Internal inspection of cooler E.S.P. hoppers is pending.
Cooler Grate drive group.
Coupling guards of grate drive 1,2 & 3 are not installed yet, needed to be provided.
Motor earthling is still pending cooler grate drive motors.
Preheater feed group.
Online changeover of kiln feed bin aeration blowers will not be possible. As no any
pneumatic gate has been provided in aeration blowers discharge line.
Kiln feed bin aeration pressure signal is not provided, needed to be installed.
Coal firing group.
Installation of coal firing line to kiln & calciner is pending, work is in progress.
Installation of coal firing multicore is in final stage, will be checked after completion.
Online changeover of coal firing blowers will not be possible. As no any pneumatic
gate has been provided in circuit.
Online switch of coal firing multicore discharge line (kiln to pc & pc to kiln) will not be
possible in lack of pneumatic gate in lines.
Mechanical pending jobs that needed to be completed before plant light up.
Water spray line is needed to be provided for cooling of kiln inlet & T.A. D. discharge
material.
Heavy scrap is lying at kiln platform floor is needed to be collected.
Cyclone dispersion plate aeration line work is in progress.
Compressed air line connection work is in preheater blasters is in progress.
Dispersion plate installation work in preheater cyclone feed boxes is in progress.
Preheater section ducting (Preheater top stage cyclones risers & downcomer)
inspection is pending will be carried out after mechanical clearance.
Preheater cyclones feed box flap arm installation work is in progress, the same is
needed to be calibrated after installation of flap arms.

TAD discharge hopper pneumatic gate trail is pending.
Diesel generator for supplying emergency power for kiln aux. drive is not installed.
