Why we started this project?
In Turkey, the recycling rate has been increasing annually; however, it still
remains below 20%, a significantly lower figure when compared to other
countries like South Korea. Moreover, there is a concerning disparity with
other countries as it is being the leading country in Europe
in terms of waste importation.
This situation has not only prompted us to acquire information about
recycling but has also driven us to actively engage in contributing to
recycling efforts in our country as a voluntary group.
What is our purpose?
Plastics pose a significant environmental problem that threatens
ecosystems around the world. The use of recycled plastics has great
potential in terms of both reducing negative impacts on the environment
by reducing the amount of waste and contributing to the production of
new products by creating a sustainable cycle.
As people who believe that change begins with individual education, we
aim to increase this potential to larger audiences, especially to children
for whom it is important to develop recycling habit from an early age.
What is our method?
We present children project examples that implement recycling in various
forms, methods, and designs. We do presentations about recycling and
personally introduce children to different recycling products.
We collect a portion of the plastic caps gathered for recycling in this
schools and send them to our partner teams, such as P-lab that is
recycling plastics, aiming to establish a sustainable system within itself.
Thus, we aim to not only increase children's awareness of sustainable
living but also contribute to the development of their imaginative skills and
make recycling habits fun for them.

Recycle Art Project in The Future
We participated in the 10th ''Hayal Edin Gerçekleştirelim'' (You Dream It, We Make It Real)
competion in the Environment and Energy category in 2024. Our aim is to find funding
through this competition for Recycle Art Project to expand
the reach of our project to a broader audience.
By demonstrating the successful feasibility of our project in this competition, we intend to
attract investment that will enable us to collaborate with prominent institutions such as
TEMA (Turkish Foundation for Combating Erosion, Afforestation,
and Conservation of Natural Assets),
