The cool wind makes my head want to wonder. I can see the whole skyline of the island here at the top of a tree. The view is breathtaking even this is where all of us will die. I already accepted that fact, but I don't want to lose that easy. I will also play this game, no mercy, no friends or anything.
I remembered the incident lately. It all happened too fast. I didn't do anything to save her. I held my machine gun tight and shoot at the sky. I can't take this agony inside my heart. I came down and make myself prepare. I put my bag on my back and started to walk.
I stumbled to a group of three boys. They are talking about this game. One of the boys is wearing a glass. The other one is a yet muscular. The other one is a bit chubby. They are all serious in their discussion. I aimed my weapon to one of the boys and shoot. The two other boys screamed. The boy I shot had his brain splattered behind him. His eye was swollen out from his head. I looked for another place. They looked at the place where I shot. I aimed again at one of the boys and shoot. I got one from the back. He vomited blood and his eye got out. The last boy looked at him, terrified. He looked sideways then he took out his handgun. His hand is still shaking.
"Please spare me," he begged. He cried. He kneels down, like he was praying.
I shot him right in his head. His head exploded and his brain scattered all over the place. I went to their bags and looked at it. The two others are useless, so I take the handgun. I looked at my map and look for a place to stay.

We walked down the path silently. We heard a rustling sound not far from us. It's like that it's heading our way. I prepared my sword and Rhyzza went to my back. The rustling sound stopped.
"Jed?" I asked.
Jed went out of the bushes, his uniform is stained with blood. His face is a bit haggard and you can see the fear in him. Rhyzza went beside Jed.
"She got shot by Neil and I didn't even protected her," he answered then cried.
We were both stunned at what he said. Our jaws dropped. I didn't expect that he will kill someone. He couldn't even hurt a fly.
"Sorry," he answered.
He didn't answer. She hold Jed's collar and Jed really looked he has regretted it. We heard a gunshot at 3 o' clock. I looked where it came from.
I looked at them and saw Rhyzza is lying dead on the ground. Her eyes are rolling in the dirt. I took Jed's hand and ran to the lighthouse.
Dang! I let the two escaped. At least I killed one. I went to the corpse and checked her weapon. Her weapon is a stun gun, not very useful. I threw it at her head went north.
Katherine held my hand very tight as we run. We finally stopped at a cave near the shore. She sat on the rock and looked at me. Why would she save me? I mean, our relationship is over but, why do I feel something for her?
I went to her side and sit. I looked at her with a deep observation on her. She looked at me confused.
"Nothing," I answered.
I looked up at the sky. It was clear, the gibbous moon gives just the right amount of light to see her. From here, we can see the school. It is all lighted up and we're here in the dark. I looked again at her.
"C'mon, Jed, get a grip! It's not your fault! It was an accident, okay?" she said.
She's right. It was an accident and I don't have any fault on that. I felt a tear streamed down my cheek. I wiped it out and she looked at me.
She nodded then looked away. I took off the buttons of my uniform and lay down. She looks at me and I looked back.
She laid her head on my shoulder. This moment is like a dejavu except for the game of course. I looked at the sky and I put myself into deep thought. Then, a shooting star pass by.
"Hey, Katherine, did you see that?" I asked. She didn't answered.
"Hey," I said.
I looked at her and she was sleeping. I just smiled. I laid my head again and doze off.
