FOR A Television Advert

CLIENT Glenthorne High School

The Brief: It is proposed that the television advert will be of 25-30 seconds duration, filmed at Goals Soccer Centre and King Georges Park and edited at our Sutton facility.

The television advert will be aimed at 14-16 year olds looking to go into sixth form. This has been identified through my audience research.

The television advert will show that the academy is fun and educational as well as demanding and will represent the school and the players and coaches within the academy. The television advert will be aired on ITV or E4, will be placed on the Glenthorne High School website as well as YouTube.

The main competitors for the academy will be Stanley Park High School, Lewisham College and Kingston College. This has been identified through my market research.

Several locations have been visited and a shortlist has been drawn up: Suggested locations are: Glenthorne High School Sports Hall Goals Soccer Centre King Georges Park Glenthorne High School Outdoor Facilities Glenthorne High School Gym Facilities

The television advert will include the following:

a) Long shot of the team training b) Various shots of the manager talking to his team c) Over the shoulder shots of the educational side of the academy

d) Panning shot of the Glenthorne Football Academy banner e) Sky Sports News Layout to introduce the academy f) Close up of the ball coming towards the camera

These shots will link together through fast cutting and a variety of different effects.

Structure The television advert will be in colour and in PAL. The television advert will start with 2 actors introducing the academy. It will then cut to: 1. Contact details and other relevant information will be on the side and bottom of the screen as well as funny headlines and captions 2. A panning shot of the Glenthorne Football Academy banner 3. Shots of the team training and working hard 4. Variety of different shots on the pupils learning in our facilities 5. The manager talking to his team 6. The actors concluding the advert 7. The ball being kicked at the camera with the logo appearing to and the advert

Schedule The production will be produced within the timescale that will be indicated by our shooting and editing schedules. ConnexCast will ensure that all location filming is carefully planned to take into account the safety of the crew and the general public and any production contingencies. The finished television advert will be available for viewing at an appropriate time in order for any changes to be made before the suggested release date. The deadline for submission to the client is: 22nd June 2012

Legal and Ethical Issues

Every student that is being film in this advert is under the ages of 18 so we will need to get parental permission. We will also need to get permission from Glenthorne High School to film their training sessions.

Guarantee of Satisfaction Initial discussion on the television advert content will take place. Production equipment will be used in a safe operational manner at all times. ConnexCast is covered by Public Liability Insurance to the sum of 1,000,000. A copy of all rushes (camera original material) will be supplied on request in DVD format. A rough cut (initial trial edit) version of the television advert will be supplied for inspection and discussion. A meeting to discuss the final master version will be organised with a focus group of interested parties. The completed television advert will be provided on DVD for inspection. The completed television advert will not be released until the client is completely satisfied with technical quality and content.
