I. INTRODUCTION
Project Title: Protect Our Shores: Coastal
Clean-Up Drive
Project Location: Pasil, Isabel, Leyte

II. PROJECT STATEMENT
Coastal regions are facing increasing threats from pollution, with debris
such as plastics, metals, and other waste accumulating on shorelines. These
pollutants harm marine life, disrupt ecosystems, and diminish the beauty of
natural landscapes. Addressing this issue requires coordinated efforts to clean
up existing litter and prevent further pollution through education and
community involvement.
The “Protect Our Shores: Coastal Clean-Up Drive” is an initiative aimed at
organizing the community of Pasil, Isabel, Leyte, to take an active role in
preserving and protecting our coastal areas. This project seeks to address the
significant issue of marine litter and pollution, promoting a sense of
environmental responsibility and conservation among participants. By engaging
in regular clean-up activities, environmental awareness campaigns, and
community events, this initiative will help improve the health and beauty of our
coastal environments, benefiting both the local ecosystem and the community.
III. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project will involve organizing a series of coastal clean-up events at
various locations within Pasil, Isabel, Leyte. These events will be conducted in

collaboration with local barangay and residents, and community organizations.
Volunteers will be provided with the necessary materials such as gloves, sacks
as trash bags, and safety equipment to carry out the clean-up activities. In
addition to the physical clean-up efforts, the project will also include
environmental awareness campaigns aimed at raising awareness about marine
pollution and promoting sustainable practices. Community events will be
organized to encourage participation and develop a sense of collective
responsibility for the protection of our coastal areas.
IV. OBJECTIVES
Here are the objectives that the “Protect Our Shores: Coastal Clean-Up
Drive” must accomplish:
1. Reduce Marine Pollution: Remove trash and debris from coastal areas to
improve the health of marine life and ecosystems.
2. Raise Awareness: Educate the community about the impacts of marine
pollution and the importance of coastal conservation.
3. Promote Community Engagement: Encourage active participation and
collaboration among community members to foster a shared responsibility
for environmental preservation.
4. Enhance Coastal Aesthetics: Restore the natural beauty of beaches,
making them more enjoyable for residents and visitors.

V. PROJECT OUTPUT
