Anthropological and Cultural Features

Our location has four festivals one is Family-Oriented Park festival in Eco Park. Second is The Book Festival gathered in SM Fairview, Annex Atrium every March 913. The third one is the Quezon City Foundation Day Anniversary during September 29, October 3, 4 and 5. Forth is The Concerts and Festivals at the Park, An open-air amphitheater at the park are newly inaugurated. Capacity is at 3000 plus. Concerts under the full moon gathered in Eco Park.

Historical Feature Commonwealth Avenue (Tagalog: Abenida Komonwelt), formerly called as Don Mariano Marcos Avenue, named after the father of President Ferdinand Marcos, is a 12.4 km (7.7 mi) highway located in Quezon City, Philippines which spans from 6 to 18 lanes and known as the widest in the Philippines. It is one of the major roads in Metro Manila and is designated as part of Radial Road 7. The Commonwealth Avenue starts from the Quezon Memorial Circle inside the Elliptical Road, it passes through the areas of Philcoa, Tandang Sora, Balara, Batasan Hills and ends at Quirino Highway in the Novaliches area.

Peace and Order Security for the Area There is a police station in the right side of our establishment and the police is also patrolling in the Fairview Park Subdivision, Sacred Heart Subdivision and Dona Carmen Subdivision every night to ensure the safety of the residence. Company Profile History There are nine college friends who are very fond of eating pastries and ice cream. They also love drinking coffee during their free time. Since they dreamed of putting up their own business, they came up to an idea of combining all their favorite foods in their dream restaurant. Through hard work and perseverance, they had the opportunity to build their own business, an ice Cream Caf named Just Sweets.

Our objective is to become the best selected coffee shop in Quezon City, that serves good quality of product and services to satisfy our customers. The creations of an exclusive, stylish, innovative environment that will bring people with different interest and background together for specialization . High quality, coffee, ice cream, and pastry products at a reasonable price.

Our logo is inspired by a coffee cup inside a circle, the circle means money, rotating, lucky and it has no edge. Since our business is an ice cream caf , we use the coffee cup that symbolizes that our coffee is not just sweet but relaxing as well, we want to assure to our customer that our company has a good service and the fashion is always there to satisfy them. Just Sweets name comes from the decision of nine friends who really love coffee and it only means that we only give sweet service in a sweet cost.

Manager A caf manager supervises the hiring, scheduling, training, and disciplining of all employees. Takes charge of other employees and the overall operation of the business. Implement certain company procedures and deal primarily in predetermined, branded merchandise.

Barista and/or Cashier Barista brew the perfect cup of espresso is the main job for a barista. Baristas also prepare gourmet coffee and espresso-based drinks which include using steamed milk, syrups and other ingredients.In order to create the perfectly blended and brewed drink, a barista must know the capabilities and limitations of the espresso machine so as to not create a watered down or too strong espresso drink. Cashiers take orders for customers and ring up the total purchase amount in addition to collecting payment for purchases. Cashiers may also verbally relay orders to other employees. Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.

Server/ Waiter Waiters and waitresses take customers orders, serve food and beverages. Prepare tables for meals, including set up items such as linen, silverware and glassware. Greeting guests (with eye contact and smile).Escort guests to their tables.

Kitchen Crew and/or Dishwasher A crew has the primary responsibility of keeping the kitchen and the other area at a coffee shop clean and orderly. Usually has many other duties as well, might assist in the dining area or help the cook with food and drinks preparation. Properly cleans and sanitizes all dishes, glassware, utensils and pots. Responsible for maintaining dish room and dish machine. Assists with cleaning other areas of the coffee shop as requested.

Security Guard A security guard is paid to protect property, assets, or people. Usually privately and formally employed personnel. Security officers are uniformed and act to protect property by maintaining a high visibility presence to deter illegal and inappropriate actions, observing (either directly, through patrols, or by watching alarm systems or video cameras) for signs of crime, fire or disorder; then taking action and reporting any incidents to their client and emergency services as appropriate.

Target Market Making it as an ice cream coffee shop, the primary target market will be families. The menu will be offering a wide range of items depending on the class of family. IN CASE OF EARTHQUAKE In terms of earthquake our coffee shop will follow the standard earthquake drill such as a DROP to the ground; take COVER by getting under the table or other pieces of furniture; and HOLD ON until the shaking stops. If there isnt a table or desk near you, cover your face and head with your arms and crouch in an inside corner of the building. Stay away from the glass, windows, outside doors and walls, and anything that could fall, such as lighting fixtures or furniture. Stay inside until shaking stops and it is safe to go outside. Research has shown that most injuries occur when people inside the buildings attempt to move to a different location inside the building or try to leave. Be aware that the electricity may go out or the sprinkler systems or the fire alarms may turn on. There may be aftershocks.

IN CASE OF FIRE In terms of fire, to assure the safety of Just sweets customers we will provide fire extinguisher for the small cause of fire, we will provide also the fire exit for them to go outside in case of fire emergency. Our business will also provide fire alarm system to aware our customers. Providing fire sprinklers is one of the factor of having a high quality fire protection.

IN CASE OF TYPHOON In case of typhoon, Just sweets will determine whether the customers can remain in coffee shop during the typhoon. You may be able to ride out a weak typhoon with a small storm surge.
