Dear City Council,
Thank you for taking the time to consider our request. I am writing to the town of Beaufort today
on behalf of Crumbs Bakery and Cafe to propose a new addition for a bakery at 810 Boundary
Street. Our mission is to be the bakery of choice in downtown Beaufort. What makes our bakery
unique, along with our homemade recipes, is our option for dine-in, take-out, or delivery.
The idea for Crumbs Bakery and Cafe started when 3 friends, with a passion for baking, came
together and decided to share their homemade creations with their family and friends. These
friends and family stated there was nothing left but crumbs after every plate. Our baked goods
were so highly demanded that we decided to create a business of our own to share the
delicious delicacies with our community.
Not only do we specialize in custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and pastries, we also make
various homemade breads, bagels, and sandwiches. The quality of our ingredients is highly
approved by not only our customers, but also by the FDA. Our bakery has all of the certificates
and licensing required, and is bonded and insured. One of our greatest features is our option for
delivery. Running late for work and need a quick breakfast delivery or a lunch for later on? Just
place an order over the phone and we will hand deliver our goods right to your doorstep. For a
warm-welcoming personal experience, stop on by and dine-in at our cafe or order at carryout
and eat in the comfort of your own home.
In our bakery and cafe, our main focus is customer satisfaction. Our time-honored baking
traditions and techniques can be seen through the protective glass windows into the heart of our
kitchen. Watch how we make the breads or cakes that sit on your very plate! Since we started,
we have had an outstanding customer satisfaction and are constantly coming up with new
specials and treats.
Southern Living Magazine lists Beaufort, South Carolina as one of the top five small towns to
visit. Many visitors flow in and out of this beautiful historical town eager to try the good eats, see
the surrounding waters, experience various festivals, and for architectural and historical sights.
Adding a bakery and cafe such as ours will be likely to bring in returning visitors and new
visitors by ear.
