History
Guadeloupe was founded by Christopher Columbus in 1493 like some of the
other Caribbean Islands

Geography
It is an overseas region or department of France in the eastern Caribbean Sea

Guadeloupes tropical climate varies between 77F and 82 F and is tempered
with by the northeast trade winds

because it is a overseas department of France and its head of state is the
President of the French Republic

produces a luxuriant variety of vegetation and wildlife
