Scope of Practice of Midwifery


a. The midwife is a woman who has attended and
completed the study
b. Midwifery practice is the implementation of obstetrics by
midwives who are autonomous, to women, families and
communities, based on ethics and code of conduct
midwife
c. Midwifery is a field of science that studies the science
and art of preparing pregnancy, attending births,
childbirth and breastfeeding, time interval and fertility
regulation, climacterium and menopause, newborns and
toddlers, human reproductive functions and provide
assistance / support to women, families and communities

d. Midwifery Care Management is an approach and


framework that is used by midwives in applying the
methods of solving problems systematically from
data collection, data analysis, obstetrics diagnosis,
planning, implementation and evaluation
e. Midwifery care is the process of decision-making
and actions performed by midwives in accordance
with the authority and scope of practice based on
the knowledge and tips obstetrics.
f. Obstetric care is an integral part of the system of
health services provided by registered midwives
(registered) which can be done independently,
collaboration or referral.
