Project Background

Context
With increase in enquiries and level of operations, PI is embarking on the next phase of the
growth journey in Fine Chemicals segment
In this context, managing various engineering projects (new and modifications) and its timely &
on-budget handover to operations is key to its success (delivery).
Therefore, there is a need to automate manual tasks/ processes/ templates which are run today
through emails/ spreadsheets/ word documents/ etc.
There is a need for real-time monitoring and review of projects at various stages in its lifecycle.

Solution
Infionic Enterprise Suites Product & Portfolio Management solution provides a platform to
handle these projects and their handover to operations while also interfacing with various other
functions TAG, OPS, EHS, R&D, PD.
Provides a high-level view of project progress and status to the Management on a real-time basis.
Provides a detailed view of project activities and status for personnel involved in day-to-day
handling of engineering projects
Project managers will be able to manage projects effectively by allocating, tracking, reviewing,
submitting various deliverables through this web-based application making it easier to use.
Improves collaboration by ensuring role based access to all team members to provide individual
updates on a real-time basis
Due to the suites ability to integrate with SAP, it will reduce duplication of work.

Requirements Phase

Functionality discussions: Based on the understanding of the

various processes, we would facilitate requirements gathering
sessions to go through all the flows (including UI and data migration
requirements). These sessions would lead to a detailed list of
functionality from the End-users perspective.

Study of existing technical infrastructure: A study of the existing

systems and infrastructure would be conducted, with the client IT
personnel involved. This study would be conducted to understand:
The functionality of the existing systems
The interfaces with the proposed system
The technical platforms/APIs availability etc

Documentation of Functional Requirements: Infionic team, after

conducting the detailed functionality discussions and the technology
study will document the requirements and will obtain a sign-off on
the same from the client.

Customization Phase

Integrated technical Design: The high level and low-level design will
be completed to identify how Infionic Enterprise Suite will interact
with other existing systems

Creative Design: The UI needs to be designed as per the needs of the

client. Any changes to the UI design will be completed in this phase.

Module-wise Customization: The complete module-wise

customization will be completed along with unit testing. All the
modules need to be integrated with the UI requirements. The
interfacing with third -party systems (if any) will also be built here.

Integration: After the customizaiton is completed and these are unit

tested, the various modules will be integrated to form the final product.

Integrated Testing: The integrated solution will be tested completely

before rolling out.

UAT & Roll Out Phases

User Acceptance Test

User Acceptance Testing: Users will go through the final tool to verify
that it meets functional requirements and that the service level
agreements are met.
Bug fixes: Any issues that come out of UAT will be fixed and the users
will verify the same
Data Migration: Any data that needs to be migrated will be done in
this phase

Rollout
End User Training: Users will be trained on the new tool and reference
material will be provided.
Deployment: Tool will be deployed in client premises and will be
ready to be used in production mode once
