SORAYA ARGHANDAWI-
DIRECTOR

The role of the director is to see over the whole production and to
make sure the actors are aware of what they need to do and how the
performance should be executed. She is in charge of the way things
run when filming and is a crucial factor to the outcome of the piece
itself, as well as to show the audience the understanding on the
narrative. Her role is crucial as she has to be able to create and
show the verisimilitude through mise en scene and the characters.
DANIELLE CONNEELY-
CINEMATOGRAPHER

The role of the cinematographer is to show a clear understanding of

various shot types and to be able to execute these shot correctly in
order to aid the realism of the piece. Danielle Conneely is our
cinematographer, therefore she needs to be able to produce a
variety of camera shots in focus and is in charge of the outcome of
every take. She must understand the 180 degree rule as well as the
do and donts with using the camera.
SORAYA ARGHANDAWI&
DANIELLE CONNEELY- EDITOR
& SOUND

The role of the editor is to create a flow and pace to the opening
sequence in order to show the realism within the production. We
both decided to do these roles as we wanted to split the work and
roles equally between us as there is only 2 of us in the group. The
editor is also in charge of using music and sound effects effectively
to show the tone for the production. This is to make the audience
engage with the experience, they also have to make the shots flow
and to show clear examples in action to aid the professionalism of
the opening sequence.
