WHAT TEACHERS THINK ABOUT
WRITING..????
Writing just for examination
Writing is a task
writing could not be taught and that if a
learner wrote well it was because she or he
has been gifted with good genes from
parents. In short, many believed it was a
gift from God.
WHAT THEY DO FOR STUDENTS
WORKS....????
They laboriously edited student work
Usually in red
Mostly in disgust criticizing the writing of
learners from content development to
grammar and typographical errors
WHAT THE EFFECTS FOR
STUDENTS....???
Students stop writing after school.
Its because writing is a necessary evil is the
way examinations are conducted, summative
in nature and writing to the constraints of
time
They believed that one because the teacher
did it
HOW IT CHANGES..???
Approach...
pre-writing which only became a trend in
the 1960s or so became an integral part of
writing instruction when the process
Approach become popular in the 1970s.
Teacher became conscious of the nation
of writing as a process, and of it as being a
developmental and formative process.

referred as a teaching strategy that calls for
cooperation among learners organized in
small groups.
Example:
