INTRODUCTION
Julius Caesar practiced many social and political reforms and
they can also be copied throughout todays society.
He shaped and changed Rome by his political, economic, and
social reconstructing influences.
He was called the Father of Rome.
FAMILY BACKGROUND AND
EARLY LIFE
Julius Caesar was born July 12 or 13 100 B.C
Julius Caesar was the son of Gaius Julius
Caesar and Aurelia Cotta
He was believed to be a descendant of the
Trojan Prince, Aeneas.
He had two siblings
When he was 16 his father died and since his
father was gone he had a very close
relationship with his mother.
He made a goal to be noble to his country so
he married Cornelia who was the daughter of
a noble. By 69 BC he was a widow.
THE FIRST TRIUMVIRATE
Caesar had an alliance with
Pompey the Great, and Crassus.
They were known as the First
Triumvirate.
Over the years Pompey grew
envious of Caesar and they
went to war.
By 49 BC he became dictator of
Rome until 44 BC.
THE IDES OF
MARCH
The Ides of March is the date of
Caesars death (March 15th).
While Caesar was preparing for battle
the senate planned his murder.
Cassius Longinus started to plot the
murder. Then, he got Caesars
brother-in-law, Marcus Brutus
involved.
Caesar walked into a room for of men
with daggers and he was stabbed
more than 20 times. He died at the
Theatre of Pompey.
His heir Augustus would soon be the
first emperor of Rome after his death.
