adverbs of manner.

We use adverbs of manner to describe

how actions are done.
 ADVERBS

Adverbs are usually formed by adding -ly

to the end of the adjective. Example:
Word Adverb
Appropriate Appropriately
Careful carefully

Add ly in these verbs:

- Gentle
- Forceful
- Patient
 ADVERBS

Adverbs that end in -y are usually

replaced with i before adding -ly.
Example:
Word Adverb
Happy Happily
Steady Steadily

Turn these verbs to adverbs:

- Clumsy
- Cranky

Some adverbs do not change. Example:
