A Lump/ swelling = collection of tissue or
fluid which is palpable ( can be palpated with
fingers) and lump may be due to neoplasm,
but there are other causes.

Patient say : I have lump in my right breast

Doctors say : there was a palpable mass in
the right breast
SYMPTOMS AND SIGN MALIGNANCY

Related to the size and location of


tumour
Ex: tomour in the brain > causes
raised intracranial pressure and
symptoms such as headache, vomiting
or visual disturbance

OTHER POSSIBLE SYMPTOMS of


malignancy : Bleeding, pain , wight
loss
Next step : Do the Rontgen or CT-SCAN or MRI
etc

Dx :
Doctor say : we have the result of the scan
back now and im afraid they show that you
have a small growth in the right breast.
Fortunately it appears to be at early stage and
there is no sign of spread. So if we remove it,
there is every chance of a complete cure
TREATMENT
- sometimes be completely removed
by surgery
If metastasis > Radiotherapy
( Chemotherapy)
