    FAMILY NIGHT

    THEME: LITERACY FAMILY
    NIGHT
    It will take place in the Gym
    Last around 2 hours (5:00-7:00)
    Will be for 1st -3rd graders and their families
    STATION 1
    Word building activity
    The student and their parents have to build as many words as they can
    using legos within 1 minute
    Whichever group makes the most words win a prize
    Each grade level will have to build more complex words
    STATION 2
    Every student gets the chance to create a story
    It starts with 1 page a teacher creates then every student and their family
    creates the next page to make one big book that can be read and
    understood
    STATION 3
    Reading station
    Parents and students can read a book together
    If they like it they can write and leave a 1-5 star review
    STATION 4
    Scrabble
    STATION 5
    During the week each student creates a poster over a book they read
    In the gym they are all set up where parents can view them
    Whoever makes the best one gets a prize
