Hemingways biography:
Ernest Miller Hemingway (1899-
1961)
The second of six children.
Oak park, a Chicago suburb.
Join the Kanas City Star in 1917.
Work as an ambulance driver in the
following year.
Return to America in 1919 and
married in 1921.
In 1992, he reported on the Greco-
Turkish war.
Two years later, he resigned from
Journalism to devote himself to
fiction.
 Hemingways first published works: In
our time(1925), The torrents of
Spring(1926), Three stories and ten
poems(1932).
His international reputation was secured by
his next three books: Fiesta (October,
1926), Men Without Women (1927) and
A Farewell to arms (1929).
He was involved with bullfighting, big
game hunting, deep sea fishing.
He visited Spain during the Civil war =>
Whom the Bell Tolls(1940).
In 1954, he was award the Nobel prize for
literature.
Following the publication of The old
man and the sea (1952).
