1. Alphanumeric Keypad
It has letters A to Z, numbers from 0 to 9,
symbols, special keys like Enter, Shift, Caps
Lock, CTRL, ALT, Spacebar and Window
key.

2. Numeric Keypad
Can be seen at the right side and looks
like a calculator. Contains number keys
from 0 to 9 and mathematical symbols (+, -,
*, /).

3. Cursor Keys
Has arrows pointing up, down, left, and
right, and keys labeled Page Up, Page
Down, Home, End, Insert, and Delete.

4. Function Keys
Found on the upper part of the keyboard
and can do special work in different
programs (ESC, F1 to F12, Print Screen,
Scroll Lock, Pause/Break).
SPECIAL KEYBOARD KEYS

ESCAPE KEY used to exit programs quickly.

CAPS LOCK KEY used to capitalize all the


letters you will type in the computer

SHIFT KEY used to capitalize a letter

SPACE BAR allows you to put spaces
between words or where spaces are
needed.
ENTER KEY tells the computer to do the
given commands.

BACKSPACE KEY erases


the letter on the left side of the
cursor one at a time.
SPECIAL KEYBOARD KEYS
DELETE KEY erases the letter on the
right side of the cursor one at a time.

WINDOW KEY activates the Start menu


button on the desktop.
