NUMBER 3: The Artist
The reason this is third is because of the interesting use of animation to create
a human like creature but made out of shapes
Use of Narrative & characterisation (use of stereotypes, archetypes, etc.)
It stereotypes all artists by suggesting that they all wear weird things and dress
in random and bright colours as thats how this character is portrayed
Use of mise-en-scene & lighting
The scene is quite dark when it comes to lighting but is brightened up by the
use of bright colours
Use of sound
There is some shimmering kind of music very sci-fi as well as sound effects
when the ball hits the wall
Use of shot type (if any)
Its quite a wide shot on both subjects no close ups to show detail
Use of editing (if any)
Other than obviously animation the only other editing is a cut between the
two main focuses
 NUMBER 2 The Execution
This is number two as its a very realistic style of animation similar to
Tim Burtons style rather than an obvious animation
Use of Narrative & characterisation (use of stereotypes,
archetypes, etc.)
There is a kind of story to this which is quite intriguing but it doesnt
really stereotype anyone
Use of mise-en-scene & lighting
The scene is a very dark and dingy setting for obvious reasons and
is supposed to feel scary or spooky hence why the lighting is like
this.
Use of sound
There is only sound effects in this which is people muttering at the
start then a scream and only the wind blowing after. This gives it
an earie setting as the only thing you hear after the scream is just
the wind.
Use of shot type (if any)
There is a low angle shot at the start and then it cuts to a straight
forward quite close shot.
 NUMBER 1: Drawn Thief
The reason this is number 1 is because its a very interesting and
difficult style of animation as its all drawn a very old school
aproach
Use of Narrative & characterisation (use of stereotypes,
archetypes, etc.)
There is definitely a storyline in this ident and it is told very well.
They stereotype people that wear trenchcoats as being dodgy
or as a sort of secret agent.
Use of mise-en-scene & lighting
The scene is very bright and drawn as if the lighting is bright
throughout the clip. Its quite a tense seen due to the choices
made by the animators
Use of sound
There is music throughout even though there are some sound
effects like the gunshot the rest seem to be taken out and just
music is left
Use of shot type (if any)
They are all quite close up shots but some are wider this is just to
show detail
