NETWORK

Is a system contain any combination of computer, computer terminal, printers, audio

or visual display devices, or telephones interconnected by telecommunication
equipment cables: used to transmit or receive information.
HOME NETWORK
A local area network may serve as few as two or three users (for example, in
a small-office network) or several hundred users in a larger office. LAN
networking comprises cables, switches, routers and other components that let
users connect to internal servers, websites and other LANs via wide area
networks.
PARTS OF HOME NETWORK

When building a small home network, the two most essential pieces of
equipment you will need are switches and routers. Though they look similar,
the two devices perform different functions in a network.
NETWORK SWITCH

A network switch is a multiport network bridge that uses hardware

addresses to process and forward data at the data link layer
ROUTERS
is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer
networks. Routers perform the traffic directing functions on the Internet. A data
packet is typically forwarded from one router to another router through the
networks that constitute an internetworkuntil it reaches its destination node.
