Saladins Conquest of Syria

Happened from 1174 to 1185
That established Saladin as the ruler of Egypt, Syria, and parts of
Mesopotamia.
Egypt became part of his empire after three wars between 1164
and 1169
Saladins laws slowly crept over into Syria, whose new king,
Aleppo, was influenced by Saladin.
The ruler of Egypt had died during a crisis: Saladins forces had
decided to move against Egypt.
Saladins big win came in Damascus, which at the time was a city
of importance.
