History and timeline of ECOWORLD
Founder and shareholders of ECOWORLD is mostly from SP Setia.
in year 2011, ECO WORLD development Holdings Bhd is built by SP
Setia's former chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Abdul Manaf and
former director of SP Setia, Datuk Leong Kok Wah.
In December 2013 they together with Liew Tian Xiong which is Son
of Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin (Founder of SP Setia) acquire the company
Focal Aims a listed real estate developer at Johor for RM 354.6
million and started to expand ECO WORLD company
Focal Aims company change the name of FOCAL AIMS in bursa Malaysia become
ECO WOLRD BHD start from 26 December 2013, they used acquired others
company and become a listed in security exchange and traded under the name ECO
WORLD.
In May 2014, Former SP Setia Bhd President and Chief Executive Officer Tan Sri
Liew Kee Sin has been appointed chairman of property developer Eco World
Development Group Bhd. Joining him is his right-hand man Datuk Voon Tin Yow,
who has been appointed executive director. When Tan Sri Liew left SP Setia, around
280 workers from SP Setia also left with him and joined the ECO WORLD.
Eco World International was set up by Eco World Development in 2013 to buy
property assets overseas for development.
ECO WORLD PROJECT
1. 12 ECOWORLD Galleries spread out in the Klang Valley, Iskandar Malaysia,
Penang and Singapore, with ECO WORLD galleries, able to showcase the
full spectrum of their product offerings to prospective customers.
2. In Malaysia , ECOWORLD had launched around 17 project since the
company formed.
3. While in the oversea, ECO WORLD had had 4 project include at London,
United Kingdom and also Australia.
4. Oversea project is oversea by the subsidiary group of ECOWORLD which is
ECOWORLD INTERNATIONAL SDN BHD.

SUCCESSFUL OF ECOWORLD
1) spread across 3 key economic regions in Malaysia with 17 ongoing development projects in
total that that include new townships, integrated commercial developments, luxury high-rise
apartments and green business parks. The Group presently has approximately 7,443.9 acres
of landbank with a total gross development value (GDV) of RM81.2 billion.
2) ECO WORLD INTERNATIONAL a private entity at year 2013 to spread the brands to the
oversea, until currently there are total 4 project at oversea which is at London, United
Kingdom and also Australia. ECO WORLD INTERNATIONAL owns a 75% stake in 3 water
fronting residential projects in London and United Kingdom, with total GDV of 2.4 billion,
and another project in Sydney, Australia.
3) The RM8.7 billion BBCC is Eco Worlds biggest project, in which it has a 40 per cent stake. The
other shareholders are UDA Holdings Bhd (40 per cent) and the Employees Provident Fund
(20 per cent).

5) ECOWORLD revenue increase as year by year.
ROLE OF MEDIA
According to Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin, Non-Executive director of ECO World
Development Bhd and Executive director of ECO World International, the
company are very active on social media such as Facebook and YouTube.
On Facebook alone, they have a followers of more than 300,000 people. Social
media plays a huge role in business as it is easier to reach out to people.
ECO World also will had news conference when project is launch, for example
the launching of project Bukit Bintang City Center. As this project is launch with
the cooperate of Employee Provident Fund and UDA Holdings Bhd. ECO World
taking 40 per cent stake. The other shareholders are UDA Holdings Bhd (40 per
cent) and the Employees Provident Fund (20 per cent).
Examples on how they can achieved the target are by :
EcoWorld Starlight 2015 concert, featuring by singer Wang Lee Hom in 2015
whereby they used social media to reach out to people and it was a huge success
as the concert successfully be conduct as it attract many people to join the
concert.
EcoWorld Seasons Flower Show which drew crowds to all our sales galleries in the
Klang Valley, Iskandar Malaysia and Penang. Eco Majestic in Semenyih recorded
numbers close to 30,000 people who visited the project during the month-long
event.
