What is Nebulizer?
Nebulizer is an electric machine powered by an
outlet and plug or batteries. It turns liquid
medication into a fine mist that is inhaled into the
patient’s lungs by a mouthpiece of a facemask.
HOW TO USE NEBULIZER?

Preparing to use nebulizer. First, wash your
hands. Start by washing your hands for 20
seconds with soap under running water
and dry them off with a paper towel
Second, open the medication with
twist the cap of medicine.
Third, unscrew the top of the nebulizer
cup and place the medication into the
nebulizer. Then, screw the top of the
nebulizer cup.
Fourth, attach the mouthpiece. Secure
it to nebulizer cup.
Fifth, connect the tubing. Attach one
end of the oxygen tubing to the
nebulizer cup.
Sixth, turn on the air compressor and
use the nebulizer.
Seventh, wear a facemask and continue
to inhale the medication.
This usually takes about 10-15 minutes.
Then, turn off the nebulizer and clean
up. Be sure to unplug it from the
outlet and detach the medicine cup
and mouthpiece from the tubing.
Last, clean the medicine nebulizer cup
with tissue and keep the facemask for
next medication.
