FLIGHT MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
The flight maintenance department (FMD) is responsible for
ensuring that the aircrafts of the Collage are in their right
working order and always ready for flight. FMD comprises
of different sections of work which includes:

 TECHNICAL SECTION
 QUALITY CONTROL
 PLANNING SECTION
 FLIGHT LINE SECTION
 HANGER
EXPERINCE GAINED
AIRPLANE PARTS AND FUNCTION
EXPERINCE GAINED
FORCES ACTING ON PLANES

FOUR STROKE ENGINE
Four stroke engine, also known as four cycle, is an internal combustion engine
in which piston completes four separate stroke.

INTAKE CYCLE
The piston descends from the top of the cylinder to the bottom of the cylinder, reducing
pressure inside the cylinder. A mixture of fuel and air is force by atmospheric pressure into
the cylinder that is, through the intake valves then closes.
Compression
with both intake and exhaust valve closed, the piston to the top of the
cylinder compressing the air fuel mixture into the combustion chamber of the
cylinder head.
Power
while the pistol is close, the compressed air-fuel mixture is ignited by the spark or by
heat and pressure of the compression; the resulting massive pressure from the
combustion of the compressed air-fuel mixture drives the pistol back down toward the
bottom dead center.
Exhaust:
The piston returns to the TDC while the exhaust valve is open. This evacuates the
product of combustion from the cylinder by pushing the spent air fuel mixture out
through the exhaust valve. Any burnt air-fuel mixture that remains after the
exhaust will contaminate the fresh air mixture that is drawn into the cylinder on
the next intake stroke.

The 24 weeks program training obtain in NCAF has
expose me to the reality of engineering work and
practical, the training obtain relate to my course
of study and acquainted me with work techniques
handling of equipment and machinery

It is a privileged to participate in Student
Industrial Work Experience Program.
