NON-ACADEMIC FACILITIES
IN UMT
INTRODUCTION
Universiti Malaysia Terengganu has established non-academics facilities to provides
access to great shopping, cafes, cultural events and sporting events for students .
While living in an environment that promotes safety, students also benefit from the
opportunity to learn about other cultures and lifestyles, form lifelong friendships
and make memories.
UNISTORAGE
Unistorage is one of the useful facilities that is given to the students. This
kiosk belongs to an ex student of UMT and aided by 24 crews. It provides
mail and courier for mailing and receiving services, so most of the students
would pick up their parcel here. Unistorage operates from 9 am to 5.40 pm
every Sunday to Thursday and also during public holidays. Students no
need to travel off university to a post office when they have access to a
variety of services all at one convenient location.
CAFE
It’s well known that people like to gather where food is served.
Therefore, UMT allocates several cafes for the students. They serve
variety of foods, from local foods to western food and Arabic food.
The cafes operates everyday during office hours but some of them
do open till midnight too. Students love to buy their meal here
because of affordable prices and variety of food to choose.
PRINTING SHOPS
There are several printing shop in the university. Students are
able to print, scan and photostat with an affordable price. Each of
the computers has good Internet connection. Most of the printing
shops are open during office hours but some of them open till 10
p.m. They also support binding, laminating and laptop repair
service too which really helpful for students to complete their
assignment well.
SULTAN MAHMUD SPORTS
COMPLEX
The sport complex provides a platform for students to lead a healthy and
positive lifestyle through various sporting and fitness activities. It is well
equipped with sports facilities for students to play badminton, ping pong,
futsal and volleyball. Students are allowed to use the multi-sport court by
booking the court earlier at students’ portal. They also provide gymnasium,
toilets, water filtration machine, prayer rooms for muslim and also a vending
machine that bring convenience to students .
HOSTEL
There are eight hostels in UMT. Two hostels are for boys while the rest are
for the girls. All rooms furnished with required furniture as well as having
unlimited WiFi connection that really helpful for online learning session for
students. They also provide laundry facilities, rest rooms, discussion spots,
toilets and water filtration machine. These facilities really give comfort and
feeling of being with one’s family for them.
