• THE CMS WILL PROVIDE INFORMATION ON THE KEY FUEL SYSTEM DATA TO THE AIRPORT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Fuel Supply System
• CLEANING, DRYING AND FLUSHING:
• HYDROSTATIC TESTING OF THE SYSTEM WILL BE CARRIED OUT WITH WATER. FOLLOWING THE SUCCESSFUL
COMPLETION OF HYDROTEST, WATER WILL BE DISCHARGED IMMEDIATELY FORM THE SYSTEM.
• DEWATERING WILL BE DONE USING FOAM SPHERES IN TRAINS. SYSTEM WILL BE CONSIDERED FREE FROM WATER.
• DRYING WILL BE DONE USING OIL-FREE COMPRESSED AIR ACCORDING TO THE CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS.
• IN THE CASE THAT FUEL CANNOT BE INTRODUCED TO THE SYSTEM IN A MONTH AFTER DRYING, THE SYSTEM WILL BE
FILLED WITH NITROGEN TO 1 atm AS PER THE CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS.
• FLUSHING:
– JET A-1 WILL BE USED FOR FLUSHING THE SYTEM.
– FOLLOWING FIRST FILL, A TEMPORARY BY-PASS WILL BE ESTABLISHED AT THE PUMPING STATION AND FUEL WILL
BE CIRCULATED AT FULL FLOW OF THE PUMPS.
– RECIRCULATING FUEL WILL BE PASSED THROUGH FILTER / WATER SEPARATORS INSTALLED WITH TEMPORARY
FILTER CARTRIDGES.
– CLEANLINESS OF FUEL WILL BE MONITORED BY REGULAR SAMPLING OF THE RETURNING FUEL.
– WHEN MAIN HEADERS OF THE HYDRANT SYSTEM IS DEEMED CLEAN, BRANCHES WILL BE FLUSHED AT FULL FLOW
IN TO BOWSERS UNTIL THE OUTLFOWING FUEL IS CLEAN.
– AT THE END OF FLUSHING, REMAINING FUEL IN THE PIPING WILL BE COMPLETELY CLEAN AND SHALL BE TESTED
FOR COMPLIANCE TO JET A- 1 SPECIFICATIONS.
