Ken Laurence played football, basketball and baseball all four years at McHenry High School, earning six varsity
letters, four All-Conference awards and two Honorable Mentions for All-State teams. While playing football he started
on the offense, defense, punt, punt return, kick off, and kick off return teams. Ken played varsity basketball part time
his sophomore year, earning letters his junior and senior seasons while Co-Captioning the team his senior year. Ken
later went on to play football for Northern Illinois University lettering his junior and senior seasons.

Matt Eichinger earned nine varsity letters at McHenry High School. He placed 2nd in the North Suburban Golf
Tournament as a freshman, held the #1 position all four years and qualified for the Illinois State tournament his
junior and senior years. In Basketball Matt earned First Team All-Conference his junior season and went on to
captain the team to the first ever North Suburban Conference Championship with a 22-2 record his senior season.
While playing football, he started every game his junior and senior years at the quarterback and linebacker
positions.At Michigan State University in 1959-60, Matt was on the Freshman Golf Team. He also won the New
Mexico State Seniors Racquetball Championship in 1978.

An all-around athlete, Pat Stoffel earned All-Conference honors in softball, basketball, tennis and field hockey. She
played varsity basketball and softball all four years at McHenry becoming the Athlete of the Year in 1977. Pat went
on to play softball and basketball for Western Illinois University achieving All-American honors, All-State honors and
All-Regional honors in both basketball and softball from 1980-1982 . She played four years on the National All-
Tournament team, was voted MVP in 1982 and captained her 1981 basketball team becoming its’ MVP. Pat is a
two-time Broderick Award Nominee and was inducted into Western Illinois University’s Hall of Fame in 1998. After
completing her college career, Pat went on to star with the Macomb Magic, a Nationally ranked semi-professional
fastpitch softball team. Pat has continued in sports as a coach at Western Illinois and at McHenry High School.

John McInerney was awarded All-North Suburban Conference three times in cross country and track his
sophomore, junior and senior seasons. He was a two time IHSA state qualifier in track and field and school record
holder in the mile run with a time of 4:22.2 and 2 mile run at 9:27.0. John went on to achieve NCAA II All-American
honors twice in Cross Country at Eastern Illinois University as well as All-American honors in track & field at 1500
meters in 1979 (3:47.01). He ran on the 1977 NCAA II Cross Country National Championship team, earning 37
points, and won the 1978 Mid-Continent Conference Cross Country individual and team awards. John later coached
at Eastern Illinois University from 1990-2003 with 16 combined indoor and outdoor track conference championships,
and 6 Men’s and 1 Women’s Ohio Valley Conference Cross Country Championships, 3 NCAA Cross Country
National qualifiers and seven time award winner for Coach of the Year in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Tom Johnson finished his high school wrestling career 4th all time in the Illinois State record books with 95 career
pins. He holds the record for the fastest pin in school history with 11 seconds! Voted team Captain all four years,
Tom finished with the second highest wrestling winning percentage in McHenry’s history with a record of 127-19-1
and a school record 15 tournament wins. In 1989 & 1990, he Co-Captained the football and baseball teams earning
All-Conference and All-Area honors his senior year as a tailback and outfielder, shortstop & pitcher.

Class President and National Honors Society member, Amber Cremeens was voted
one of the top twenty softball players in the state of Illinois in 1992. She held the state
record for stolen bases in a single season with a total of 64 and ranks in the top twenty
in state with a .525 batting average. Later that year Amber was voted to play in Europe
on the Super 60 All-Star team. She went on to letter in softball for four years at

Stacy Pierce was a dominant figure in track and field for the McHenry Warriors. She was a state
qualifier in the 100m and 300m hurdles, placed top 4 in the state high jump three out of her four
seasons, including a state championship her junior year. Stacy went on to earn a full scholarship to
Illinois State University where she became a Heptathelete (Seven events: 100 m hurdles, high
jump, shot put, 200 m, long jump, javelin throw and 800 metres) two of her seasons becoming
conference champion in one.

A graduate of Michigan State University at East Lansing following 4 years in the US Army Air Force
as a B-17 Flying Fortress & B-29 Bomber Instructor during WWII, Chuck Cuda played on both the
Spartan Varsity Basketball & Golf Squads. While at Morton High School he played on the 1941 State
basketball Champs and the following year captained the Squad to a 4th place finish at State. Chuck
came to McHenry High School in 1951 where he began a long career in coaching & education. He
coached football and basketball but had his greatest impact as MCHS Varsity Golf Coach for 37
years! Coach Cuda's teams won 330 dual matches, took 12 conference championships, sent 20
individual qualifiers to State plus 12 different teams qualified for state during that span. The 1982
team took Second Place in State while the 1978 squad finished in Third Place. Coach Cuda was
inducted into the IHSA Coaches Hall of Fame in 1998.

A graduate of Illinois State at Normal, after a 2-year stint in the US Navy during WWII,
which included time at Oklahoma A & M under famed Coach Hank Iba and two years at
LaSalle, Peru, Oglesby Jr. College, Don Seaton played football at all 3 colleges. After
receiving his diploma Don went to work as an educator/administrator and coach in
LaRose, East Alton Wood River, Buda and Fox Lake Grant school districts before coming
to McHenry High School in 1959. Coach Seaton would coach football as line coach
helping the Warriors to their only North Suburban Championship in 1961. He also
coached track, girl's basketball and cross-country where during the late-60's his harriers
would go undefeated in dual meets and lost only in the Districts to the top 3 teams in
state. Coach Seaton instituted the McHenry Relays Track Invitational which has been a
showcase for local high school track talent in the county for over 45 years. In his later
years Don Seaton coached junior high cross country teams to cap 35 plus seasons in his
overall coaching career!

Undefeated in match play, 12-0 dual record in regular season competition, winning the Fox Valley
Conference Tourney by 20 strokes, the MCHS Golf Team would shoot an astounding team total of 290 as
District Champs plus win the Lake Bluff Sectionals - the first ever. At State Finals in Peoria, the team
would complete their two day competition with a score of 619 only 6 strokes behind State Champ New
Trier. In 35 seasons "it was the best team Coach Cuda ever coached!"
