WHAT IS PEACE

EDUCATION?
1. Peace Education - transformative education;
education that seek to change mindsets values and
behaviors that have led to direct, structural and
other forms of violence in our society; education
that builds awareness, concern and action towards
nonviolence, justice and environmental care.

2. Peace education – maybe defined as the process of

acquiring the values, the knowledge and developing
the attitudes, skills and behaviors to live in harmony
in oneself, with others and with the natural
environment.
