RESEARCH
METHODOLOGY
RESEARCH OBJECTIVE
Primary objective:-
To identify effectiveness of the health and safety measures adopted in SHREE
MAHAVIR METAL
CRAFT PVT LTD.
Secondary objective:-
To study the awareness of the workers about health and safety in the workplace.
To find the occurrence of accidents happened at a work place.
To find out satisfaction level of respondents toward health and safety measures.
To give suggestions to improve the health and safety in the organization.
Research hypothesis:-
Ho: there is no effectiveness of health and safety measurement in SMI.
H1: there is a effectiveness of health and safety measurement in SMI.
Research design:-
The research design of this study considering its objective, scope was descriptive in
nature.
Data sources
Primary data
For this research, primary data is collected by drafting a structured questionnaire
Secondary data
SMI website, individual employees of smi.
Sample size:
the number of samples collected for this research are 100 respondents.
Sampling method:
Non-probability sampling design based on convenient sampling method has been used for this
research study.
Sampling unit:
Employees of shree Mahavir metal crafts Pvt.Ltd in Jamnagar.
OUTLINE OF ANALYSIS:
Primary data collected for this study has been analysed by preparing charts, table, and ANOVA
test.
LIMITATIONS OF THE PROJECT
The study cannot give the accurate results because the sample size is very small.
No human being is perfect so there are some un-noticeable mistakes while conducting
survey.
As majority of the workers were illiterate thus they were hesitating in giving answers.
Sometimes top level management does not like to give answer of our questions as they
what are the safety measure provided by the company? Emergency volume

By analyse out of 100 respondents, 52% wear safety shoes at workplace and its
compulsory for all employees, 47% respondents having all the above safety measures
and 9% having a apron at working time.
The analysis shows that 51% respondents are highly dissatisfied with the ventilation
facility provided by the SMI, 3% respondents are highly dissatisfied with the ventilation
facility
The analysis shows that how often company provide health check-up for their workers,
out of 100 respondents 100 % are agreed that health check-up is done per 6 month.
The above analysis shows that 61% respondents are highly satisfied out of 100
respondents while 3% are neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with the safe environment in
SMI.
• The analysis shows that 49% respondents satisfied with the PERSONAL PROTECTIVE
EQUIPMENT provided by the SMI, while 1% is neutral & 2% are highly dissatisfied
with the PPE facilities provided by the SMI.
• The analysis shows that out of 100 respondents, 49% says that accidents occurred rarely
in the SMI, while 1% says that always accidents occurred in the SMI.
• The above analysis shows that out of 100 respondents, 29% says that finger injuries are
occurred in the company, while 14% says that electric shocks & fire accidents these type
of accidents are happen in the company
SUGGESTIONS
It suggest that organisation should make a rules for the compulsory implementation
of personal protective equipment.
A organisation should form a policy for the implementation of health and safety.
