Stringed instruments

• In stringed instruments, sound is produced when the stretched string


vibrates
• between two fixed points on the instrument.
Wind instruments

• In wind instruments, air vibrates to produce sound.


Percussion instruments:

• In percussion instruments, sound is produced when you strike on the


instrument.
• For example, when you beat a drum with a stick, its membrane
