Close UP
• Abbreviation: CU
• Used for getting a closer look at stuff
• When at face it is for emotion
• When at object it is for details
Medium Shot
• Abbreviation: MS
• Shows half of the body
• Is used for conversations and other stuff
Long Shot
• Abbreviation: LS
• Shows whole body
• Is for showing certain scenes that may require to
show their entire body
Establishing Shot
• Abbreviation: ES
• Shows setting
• Is far away to show the setting and large groups
of people
Over The Shoulder
• Abbreviation: OTS
• Can see side of face and look at particular thing
• Is on the shoulder of a character so it can show
different points of view
Extreme Close Up
• Abbreviation: ECU or XCU
• Shows very close up of object
• Used to show extreme detail in something
• Very rare to use for emotion
High Angle
• Abbreviation: HA
• Is higher than the actual character(s)
• Used for showing how weak someone is
Low Angle
• Abbreviation: LA
• Is much lower than the actual character(s)
• Used to show how strong someone is
