7.1: Collect and organize data, and apply critical thinking to
interpret information from clients and constituencies

■ Report information given by foster parents and relate it to DSS social worker on case

■ Create files in a orderly way electronically and paper


7.2: Apply knowledge of human behavior and the social environment,
person-in-environment, and other multidisciplinary theoretical
frameworks in interventions with clients and constituencies

■ Create case plan relevant to the individual needs

■ Attend CFT meetings


– Initial meetings where all parties are not on the same page
7.3: Develop mutually agreed-on intervention goals and
objectives based on the critical assessment of strengths,
needs, and challenges within clients and constituencies

■ Conduct initial report when a child comes into placement, documenting child’s
strengths and needs

■ Case plans during CFT meetings on what parents need to complete in order to be
reunified with children
7.4: Select appropriate intervention strategies based on the
assessment, research knowledge, and values and preferences
of clients and constituencies

■ Determine if services are needed for each child

■ Discuss possible services the child will need with foster parents to ensure they
understand the care the child will need
