EID AL-ADHA
About Eid-Aldha
• Eid al-Adha (Arabic: ‫ عيد األضحى‬,translit. ʿīd al-
aḍḥā, lit. 'Feast of the Sacrifice‘), also called the
"Sacrifice Feast", is the second of two Islamic
holidays celebrated worldwide each year, and considered
the holier of the two.
• In the Islamic lunar calendar, Eid al-Adha falls on the 10th
day of Dhulhijjah. In the international (gregorian)
calender the dates vary from year to year drifting
approximately 11 days earlier each year.
• This year, this day will be held in Tuesday, August 21,
2018
In the Day of Eid Al-Adha, all moslems will gather in mosque or
wide field then PRAY together to our GOD.
Eid al-Adha
• Eid- Ul- Adha is one of the special
festivals of Muslim.
• Eid- Ul –Adha is also known as Bakr- Eid
and festival of sacrifice.
• On this festival Muslims sacrifice their
domestic animals like goat (Bakr- Eid),
sheep, cow, camel etc.
• This sacrifice made by Muslims is a
symbol of sacrifice made by prophet
Abraham.
• Eid- Ul –Adha celebrations start after
the Hajj.
• The first day of Eid- Ul –Adha is
celebrated on the tenth day of Duhl -
Hijja, that is the last month of the
Islamic year.
Slaughter of sacrificial animals

• Several moslems will buy some animal (cow, buffalo, goat) to be sacrificial
animals and then distributed to all moslems in that area.
After praying together in mosque, we will gather to watch the slaughter of
the sacrificial animals.
• The way we slaughter the animals determine our food is Halal. We
slaughter it in the name of Allah and all the blood have to be drained.
Eid-ul-Adha
• Muslims celebrate the festival
of Eid- Ul –Adha with lot of
enthusiasm, enjoying each and
every moment.
• On this day Muslims dress
themselves in new clothes.

recited by them to remember
God

breakfast.
