Perugia is the capital city of Italy located in Umbria. The old town contains the cathedral and a little square with the Fontana Maggiore and Palazzo dei Priori. There are also remains from the Etruscan civilization and medieval period. Perugia was built on top of a hill so there are many stairs and narrow streets between the churches. The city hosts various festivals throughout the year including Umbria Jazz in July and Eurochocolate.

THIS IS THE OLD TOWN WITH THE CATHEDRAL.
IN THE OLD TOWN THERE IS ALSO A LITLLE SQUARE WITH THE
“FONTANA MAGGIORE” AND THE “PALAZZO DEI PRIPORI”.
IN PERUGIA THERE ARE REMAINS OF THE ETRUSCAN CIVILIZATION
AND THE MEDIEVAL PERIOD.
IN PERUGIA THERE ARE LOTS OF CHURCHES.
PERUGIA WAS BUILT ON THE TOP OF A HILL, SO THERE ARE
MANY STAIRS AND NARROW STREETS.
PERUGIA HOSTS DIFFERENT EVENTS AND FESTIVALS SUCH AS:

UMBRIA JAZZ FESTIVAL IN JULY, INTERNATIONAL JOURNALISM


FESTIVAL IN APRIL, THE MARCH FOR PEACE IN OCTOBER AND
EUROCHOCOLATE.
THE SYMBOL OF PERUGIA IS THE GRIFFIN.
