A good teacher should…
• Have passion about teaching and working with
children.
• Develop trusting relationship with their students.
• Encourages everyone always to work and do their
best.
• Establish clear objectives and expectations.
• Have effective discipline skills.
• Promote Positive behavior and respect.
According to the State of Texas, Teachers
must follow certain behaviors.

1. Planning
a) Objectives lesson to help students accomplish the grade level
expectations.
2. Instruction
a) Activities that allow them to learn and grow academically
and emotionally.
3. Learning Environment
a) A place where they can feel that they are safe and where they
can learn on a creative and fun way.
4. Professional Practice and Responsibility
a) Teacher must be willing to participate in Continuing
Education to keep updating their practices and strategies.
5. Student Growth

The behavior must follow the Code of Ethics of the State and
the TEA.
