BACKGROUND

• Physalis angulata L. (long den or thu lu canh) is an


annual, herbaceous plant.
• P. Angulata in Vietnam has many, they originated
from the tropics.
• Chemical composition, the main class contains
flavonoids, alkaloids and many different types of
plant steroids.
• Its biological properties: antibacterial,
anticancerous, antitumorous, anticoagulant,
hypotensive, immunostimulant etc.

PROJECT’S AIM

• To study the efficiency of various solvent extraction


methods of P.angulata based on antimicrobial
capacity.
• The main objective of this research is to investigate
to deeply understand the potential of P. Angulata
extract in antimicrobial activity.
• Then the extracts can be developed the product
that using P.angulata in the treatment of some
diseases.

HYPOTHESIS

The theory of my thesis is to determine


the MIC for the kinds of bacteria and
evaluate the total extracts of P. Angulata
that include the aerial part, root and
fruit impose therapeutic effect on
antimicrobial.
