Speech – is a message conveyed thru

various channels such as auditory, visual, and


kinesthetic.
Auditory – consists of spoken words and
other verbal cues.
Visual – involves sight with in turns allows
for visual observation.
Kinesthetic – refers to physical
sensation mediated by touch.
Language – it is the most essential key
and the primary tool to communication.

Communication
 stems from the Latin word “communis”
which means “to make common”.
 it is the process wherein a source/speaker
transmits a message through a channel to a
destination.

LEVELS OF COMMUNICATION
Intrapersonal communication
-is defined as the internal
communication with oneself.
Interpersonal communication
- is described as our way of
exchanging ideas, thoughts and
feelings with another person.
Small group communication
- Sharing of ideas and
information with 3 to 15 persons.
It is use to come up with a
decision solve problems.
Public communication
- happens when a speaker
addresses an audience with the
intention of informing,
persuading and/or entertaining.
Mass communication
- has the same goals of public
communication as it serves to
entertain, persuade and/or
inform. Focus in reaching out to
an extremely large audience.
Why do we need to communicate?
Why do we need to enhance our
communication skills?
Can we survive without communicating?
Could the human race have progressed in the
field of information technology without
communication?
