The document analyzes factors responsible for gender construction in male students in India. It interviewed 10 male students to understand their perspectives on gender roles. It analyzed the impact of interpersonal relationships, embodiment, media exposure, and family circumstances. It found that schools separating sexes, family work distribution, media role models and stereotypes, and behavioral demands from family all influence gender construction. Students had a limited perspective that assigned strict roles to each gender regardless of individual interests.
