lenses
36
Conclusion 37

 We visited RUMLI located behind QAU, Islamabad

 We visited 5 different stations
 We observed Murree, Margalla limestone,
Chorgali, End of Chorgali & Khuldana Formations
 We observed clay, shale, limestone, sandstone,
dolomite, calcareous clay, nodules & marl
 We came to know how to identify different rocks
by using HCl
 We came to know the proper use of BRUNTON
Compass, i.e. taking Dips & Strike of rocks + Trend
& Plunge of different rock beds
38
 We learn how to locate ourselves on Topographic
sheet
 We came to know the proper use of geological
equipment's
 Collected different samples of rocks

 In Short,
This was a introductory field trip in
order to have us a concept of relationship between
geology & practical field work.
