Of softest down from white swans;

Under the mango tree there we shall sing

Your grief, your weeping with zither music,
Let the traitors hear and quake with fear!
Let down your long and jetblack hair
Shield your forehead
And from them hide the marks of sorrow:
This the veil
Of your purity, thou unhappy virgin
It will avert
Their gaze and serve as the curtain
Of your nakedness that the traitor laugh at.
