B. TO AFFIRM OR NEGATE
Teacher instructs students to form group with 5 members. Then,
they are going to watch a video on
Secretary Jesse Robredo’s speech on Education. Ask them to
recognize the lines from the speech.
In their group, tell them to take turns sharing their agreement or
disagreement to the ideas presented. Assign one member of the
group to take note of expressions of agreement and
disagreement used by the members of the group.

(10 minutes)
The students will be divided into 3 group for their role play. Each
group will choose a representative to pick for their scenario. They will
perform the task using affirmation and negation in their dialogue. After
the performance, one representative will explain their best practices
and preventive measures during natural calamities.

Group I- During Earthquake

Group III – During Typhoon

(15 minutes)
After posting their slogan, ask the group to debate and critic other
group’s outputs. Each group will be given 1 minute to defend their work
and 1 minute for rebuttal. (See Appendix A: Rubric for Debate)

(2 minutes) Make a short minute video that upholds gender equality among
men and women in the community with the use of Adverb of
affirmation and negation. (See Appendix B: Rubric for Short Video
