Steps taken by the State Government for
Poultry development
1. Power subsidy: Government vide G.O.Ms.No.13,Dt:
01.12.2014 has provided power subsidy of Rs.2.00/-per
unit with effect from 01.12.2014 to all the Layer farms,
Broiler Farms, Hatcheries & Poultry Feed Mills. 2602
2. Supply of Eggs: Government vide G.O.Ms. No. 9,
dated: 30.04.2013, G.O.Ms.No. 12, dated: 26.11.2014
and G.O.Ms.No. 16, dated: 23.05.2015 included more
than 25 lakh boiled eggs in mid-day meals to encourage
the poultry industry.
Incentives provided to the Poultry Industry by
State Government:

 Exempted the poultry industry from house tax for the


poultry sheds and annexures.

 Exempted the Poultry Industry from Government tax


that is collected for conversion of Agriculture land to
non-Agricultural purpose.
 Exempted the eggs and chicken from levy of market
fee permanently.

 Exempted all the poultry birds from paying the


commercial tax.
Demands of Poultry Industry:

Agriculture status to Poultry Industry.

Subsidies on feed ingredients during


crisis period.
