 NATIONAL ACADEMIC DEPOSITORY (NAD)
• IMU has registered with the National Academic Depository (NAD) to maintain
the Depository of the Degree Certificates of the students of IMU. This Academic
Depository can be used by Students, other Academic Institutions and Verifying
Entities (e.g. banks, Prospective Companies, Government Entities, etc.). It’s a
depository which will be available 24X7 for uploading, retrieval, authentication
and verification of Academic records in digital format.

• To make the IMU Depository Operational, it is essential all students of IMU

have a NAD ID. This NAD ID will be generated after the student registers
themselves on to the NAD portal. As approved by the Competent Authority NAD
registration by Students will be Aadhaar Based. As per the procedure informed
by NAD, the Student will be required to register themselves on the NAD portal
based on their Aadhaar details. On successful registration an NAD ID will be
generated. This NAD ID will be used for all future references. The NAD ID will
have to be obtained from the students and has to be maintained in IMU’s Portal

• This NAD ID will be generated free of cost and can be used by the Student for
accessing Academic Records acquired not only from IMU but also from other
Academic Institutions. After the student passes out they can provide this NAD ID
to the Academic Institution where they would be pursuing their further studies,
so that they can upload the Student’s Academic Records.

• In order to accomplish the above mentioned process the following steps to be

undertaken :-
a) All Students, whether from the August 2019 Batch and from the Previous
batches, may be directed to register themselves on NAD Portal :-
i. This will require that all students should necessarily be in possession
of Aadhaar No. Prior to registration on NAD portal.
ii. The Aadhaar number has to be captured in College Portal .
iii. The NAD ID after registration has to be provided by the Student for
updation on student profile through college portal.

b) Detailed instructions and links are available on IMU’s Website for carrying
out the registration.

c) This activity is time bound i.e. it has to be completed in one month time from
15.08.2019 till 15.09.2019.

d) Students who fail to register themselves on this portal and provide the NAD
ID before the stipulated time frame will be barred from applying for the
December 2019/ January 2020 End Semester Examinations.
 Completion of NAD Registration for TMI Students
a) All Division co-ordinators are to ensure the completion of NAD registration of
students of their respective divisions by 31st August 2019 positively.

b) All division co-ordinators are required to submit the format given duly filled
and verified by Div. Co-ordinator for correctness of data including soft copy to
Exam section by 2nd September 2019.

• Go to IMU website home page www.imu.ac.in
• Go to academic activities option - Right side down of the page – National
Academic Depository – Student Registration

• Click on National Academic Depository (NAD) – Student Registration. You will

get the following options :-
 Procedure to generate NAD ID
• Click on first option i.e https://resident.uidai.gov.in/offlineaadhaar you will get
the window like this :-

• Enter your Aadhar Number and go further as per the instructions. You have to
create a Share Code of 4-characters. You need to remember this. A ZIP file
containing the Resident's Paperless Offline eKYC will be password protected
using the same Share Code. The file will be downloaded into download
folder/desktop. This file and share code you need to upload while generating
NAD ID.
 Procedure to generate NAD ID
• Now you go to third option “click here” given in IMU window for generation of
NAD ID - https://nad.ndml.in/student-nad.html#popupModal and then
https://nad.ndml.in/NAD/newStudentRegistrationScreen.html you will get the
window for generation of NAD ID like this :-

• Now you have to upload the Aadhar paperless offline e-KYC file and enter the
share code of 4 character you remembered and go further as per the
instructions.

• There after you will be asked to enter the verification code in next window.
• After entering verification code and submission you will be registered in NAD

entered in NAD registration form.
